My veins didn't show an inch of color and they were smoothed like always. I understood Bethanie. "I have been here and are you in 9th grade?" I said. I smiled at her. I read her profile and wondered why she was messing with a 10th grader. I turned around seeing my French companion, staring at me. "Mademoiselle." He said. I loved the way his pale skin glowed in the sun. He told me he was in 10th grade. "Oui." I said. I turned to Sammie.

I smiled at Vanessa, who obviously thought she had the upper hand. "Oh, no darling. Typing error, I'm afraid. But you must be in the 9th Grade, right? You're so, youthful looking." Vanessa's little puppy-dog French boy was still hanging around her. How did she not find it odd that some random guy was leering at her? I'd send him away in a minute. But then, I'm all for old-fashioned etiquette and relationships. Boy meets girl, boy takes girl out to dinner. Not boy stares at girl practically naked for a half-hour. Weird.
I watched the scene play out with an amused look in my sparkly, china blue eyes. The French boy was now gaping at me, before I nodded him off and he stood and scampered off obediently. I tossed my platinum blond hair and put my Guccis onto my soft blond hair. Vanessa was making a fool of herself, while whatshername seemed okay. Sammie gave her a small smile, standing up and cocking her hip to the side fluently, tossing her head poshly. Sammie was also fluent in French, but she didn’t think she was as good as the girl, who seemed to be from France or something. “Salue. Je m’appelle Sammie, je m’excuse pour cet introduction.” She said, glacing sideways at Vanessa, who was staring after her French puppy.
Credit goes to ihugfireflies of Caution 2.0 and she will be very upset if you try to take credit for her work, so much so that she might have her giant hamster Phillip sit on you. Oh, and the lyrics are Panic! At the Disco's Memories. Don't know the song? YOU SHOULD.
I ignored my French Companion. I knew this was going to turn into one of those mean girls fights on TV. I sat down on lounge-beach chair ignoring everyone, but Sammie. I knew Sammie and Rose were known here and I was careful not to be noticed. I adjusted my blue sunglasses from Paris to my eyes. I crossed my ankles and ignored everyone around me. I enjoyed the scenery around me. I looked up to see some one in-front of me.
I watched Sammie chatting to the French guy while a small smile played on my lips. Vanessa was about to be upstaged in a big way...
Feeling a bit of a chill wind I smiled at them both and spun on my heel, gliding back to the lounger where I'd left my things and pulled on a soft grey hoodie over my swimming costume. I lay back down and pulled out my Kindle and flipped back through to my book, grabbing my coconut water and taking a sip.
The sounds of splashing and giggles came from the water, where people were swimming around and enjoying the water. I started to read.
