Brit turned around and tapped my shoulder. I looked to see Mr. Conner and Matt on two new horses. Is she okay? Mr. Conner asked when he dismounted his horse. Yea, she's fine from what I can tell. But she needs to see a nurse. I told Mr. Conner. He looked at me and Brit, smiling he said Thank you girls so much, I don't know what would have happened to Carmel if you two didn't stay here. I'm proud of you for staying calm. Surprisingly, my eyes got misty. I quickly blinked so I wouldn't cry. Mr. Conner rarely talked like that.

I heard Brit kinda freaking out and Heather staying calm. My head was throbbing even more. I shut my eyes, hoping the pain would disappear. Heather asked me a lot of questions but I hardly heard her. It wasn't until I heard a different voice that I opened my eyes. "Thank you girls so much, I don't know what would have happened to Carmel if you two didn't stay here. I'm proud of you for staying calm." Mr. Conner. I opened my eyes Wazz going on? I said, kinda dizzy.

Wazz going on? Carmel said, seeming out of it. Carmel, Mr.Conner and Matt are her to help you. Can you stand up? Or does it hurt too much? I said this slowly so Carmel could her it clearly.

"Carmel, Mr.Conner and Matt are her to help you. Can you stand up? Or does it hurt too much?" I nodded, dazed, noting really paying attention to anything but the lump of the back of my head. I looked up to see everyone staring at me. I wondered vaguely when had they got so tall? About a minute later, I realized they were standing up. I hopped to my feet, or to fall on my butt again. Ow I muttered

OwCarmel muttered when she hopped to her feet, then fell down again. I reached a hand down toward her and smiled. Need a little help? I said it nicely and hoped it wwouldn't make her embarassed or anything. I calmly waited for her to answer.

"Need a little help?" Heather asked. I nodded my head and grabbed onto her hand, trying to pull myself up. My head still felt like hammers were attacking it.

Carmel nodded and grabbed my hand. I smiled and pulled her up. When she was standing, I steadied her she seemed dazed

Okay, ready to walk back? Or do you need to wait a little longer? I asked Carmel. Then Mr. Conner walked over to us and lokked at Carmel. You alright Carmel? do you want me or Matt to carry you back? When Mr. Conner said Matt, I saw Matt turn around and look at either Brit, Carmel, or me.

Brit grabbed my other side. "Okay, ready to walk back? Or do you need to wait a little longer?" I looked at her. "You alright Carmel? do you want me or Matt to carry you back?" Mr. Conner. I shook my head, still hurting. No matter how much pain I was in, no one was going to carry me. I took a tiny step. My knees buckled and I fell back on the ground; I just wanted to crawl in a ball. Trying to get back up, my knees screamed in protest. I fell back down to the ground.

Carmel insisted on walking on her own. Brit and I took a step back and watched as Carmel took a step, then fell to the ground. She rose again then fell. Again. I walked to her side. You need help? I motioned Brit over so we could help her walk.

Carmel fell again and Heather motioned for me to come next to her. I jumped next to Heather and pursed my lips. Mr. Connor and Matt were looking very suspiciously at Carmel but we didn't care.
