Hey Guys! I have been on this site for several months now so I decided I should share something about myself. This is kinda sensitive too me so please no mean post please, 
I have synesthesia.
Yes I know that was just a tad dramatic and about 99% of you are confused.
What is this synesthesia? You may say.

For those of you who dont have a PHD, Ill explain it to you.
Synesthesia is a "condition"(thought I call it a gift) that causes me to see colors. Lots and lots colors. Everyone is born with it but only about 1 in 20000 people keep it. This is caused by a reason that are still making doctors puzzled. A theory that several "wires" in our (people with synesthesia are called "synesthetic" or synnies for short) are crossed.
Dont worry I dont get it either. There are several different things that synesthesia causes. Some range from extreme to not even a big deal. The things are not life threatening.
Im on a syn form where synnies from all around the world come together to discuss synesthesia. I joined that site last June and since then I have discovered many different types of synesthesia that I have. However before I get into my story, I tell you some syn types.
1st, there are two different types on how you see everything.
Projected[/b] Some synnies when they hear, see, or eat something a color is right in front of them. The color of the thing differs from each synnies. Like some see the letter 'a' as red while others see it as blue. I dont have this so its kinda hard to explain.
The other syn type is Associated I do have this. Instead of seeing the colors write in front of me, I see them in my head. The color just pops right into my head.
Also synnies, like me, would only have one of these. SO they would either have Projected or Associated.
Some syn types are quite interesting.
*Seeing colors when you eat a certain type of food
*Every sound has a color
*Letters, words all have a certain color
*Some have personalities and colors for different things, like months, numbers, weekdays, ect (Ill talk more about this)
*Whenever someone says a certain name, they taste something.
*Reading causes colors everywhere
*Being able to see people's personalities (Yes that is true)
*Touching something causes syn
This are just a fraction of the types. However, Im writing this at 2 in the morning so my mind isn that clear right now.
Synesthesia is not just about seeing colors everywhere. It involves all of the senses. Also synnies would not have all of those types. We have at very most five types.
My Story
Last year, about May, end of seventh grade.
Early that year, one of my best friends Gabby told me and my other friends about synesthesia. She learned about it from a book. A Mango shaped Space by Wendy Mass (highly recommended). Well one day I was eating lunch with Gabby and my other friends and she tells us that she has synesthesia. Gabby had said that she had been looking into it for a while now and all the research clearly says that she has synesthesia. She told us that her numbers had colors and they have personalities. 1 was a baby blue, the youngest, and a book worm. 2 was a red, with pigtails, very annoying and prepping. 3 was a dark blue, kind of quiet but sweet. Well she has different qualities for all of her numbers up to 10. Well later that night, we were talking on the phone for a while when she asks me if I want to join a syn form. So I did and I was reading through all of the syn types. Long story short, I found a syn type (seeing colors with months) and I asked Gabby if that really was a synesthesia because I do that all of the time. SHe said yes and had me take this syn test. The test later then said that I have synesthesia

Weekdays->Color/Personality
Months->Color/Personality
Musical Pitch->Color
Musical Chords->Color
Musical Instruments->Color
Sound->Taste
I could go on and on about my colors but I made a chart for my colors for the months and weekdays.
However it doesnt work on proboards....I would show you my tests results but that shows my last name.

I have tried to explain synesthesia to my parents but this is what happened.....
Me: Hey Nico! (Brother)
Nico: What?
Me: Look at this
Nico: Whats that.
Me: My resualts from a synesthia test. I have synesthesia!
Nico: Thats stupid
Me: What?
Nico: thats not true, you are just making it up. Its just in your head.
Nico walks out and I hear him talking to my dad
Nico:...she says that she sees "colors'
Dad: okay Ill talk to her.
Thats why synesthesia is kinda sensitive to me. Like right now, I still can hardly believe that Im actually posting this.
Guys, this is my way of life. To me, its not weird or anything. Its completely normal actually. Synesthesia is most commonly in familes. However Im the only one in my family with synesthesia.
