Iliana Maori had said goodbye to her mom holding in one hands the hot pink lead latched onto Tiny's royal blue halter. Iliana hsted hersekf for not making them match but she had packed the matvhing one and this one was the first one she four d. The silver Pickup drove away and Iliana found herself alone leading her light grey gelding to the stable. Ilisna followed the signs to the letter and arrived to the large establishment ahead, the stable.

I felt the cool breeze gush over my newly tanned cheeks. As a reaction my hands flew to my heir and brushed the strands to it that were now caught up in my lipgloss. "Great." I mumbled wiping the little trail of gloss it had steeled across my face. I looked at the stalls smiling and sometimes chuckling at the horses names. I mean really, a horse named Jipzo! It was just funny at some of the names these new seventh graders came up with. I found myself watching a new girl lead her horse to the stable. The gray gelding had his ears perked listening to the horses with we're calling out to him already. I walked over to the two as they got closer to the stable, "Hello! I'm Claire. You must be the new girl!" I knew nothing of a new girl but it usually made people feel good to be noticed.

I heard a voice talk to me *new girl* that was me. My outgoing insticts kicked in, I was never afraid to speak publically or just one on one with someone. Changing schools so much made me realize that not much people are outgoing in this world so I better be one myself. I smiled to the girl " My name is Iliana, call me Lucky or Lily. I prefer Lucky but you know sometimes options are always good. *Did I seriously just say that?* I thought to myself. Tiny eyed the stranger closely, his tail swooshed from side to side swatting the flies away from himself. A cool breeze swished in the air, I entered inside the actual building. I kept my eyes on Claire and exam I ed the place all at nice. After all, the first person talking to me within my first five minutes here and I needed to seem polite.

I smiled feeling the horses eyes on me, they never really trusted anyone but there rider. My horse, Dutches, she is the worst with that. If someone else tries to jump with her, well, let's just say they better have some strong knees. "I nodded, Well Lucky, you seem pretty nice so I'm gonna give you some advice. You know mean girls will be nice at first, then change into some wild thing and stab you right hur." I pones her with my finger in the middle of her back, "Not to name names but Rosie Bryant, and Kayla Storm, well if you get caught up in the middle of them, well. You come find me." I said raising my eyebrows and nodding. I smiled and sighed, "But, for the most part, ride like its your last."

"Oh I can handle mean girls pretty well. I can turn into one myself sometimes" I said. It was true after all. I remember the summer of 2010 when Emma Katchioti "accidentally" put Blake, a schooling horse, in the wrong turnout and instead of coming clean she blamed me and framed me. I was no longer allowed in the paddocks and pastures. By the end of the summer she had packed up her things and left for the rival stable. "Anywho thanks for the 411, it'll be useful." I ran my fingers down a stall. It was Tiny's. "Would you look at that Tiny look at your stall" I spoke in "Horsey-cute" to the big Westphalian who eyed his stall and slowly entered himself.

Isaac walked out of SilverHawk's stall leading his dappled iron grey arabian stallion down the aisle he stopped when he spotted two girls and a new horse. He stopped SilverHawk and said to the new girl "Hi? I'm Isaac Thompson you new? this is SilverHawk by the way"

I turned around and my hair flipped over my shoulder the way I liked it to, it gave it that dramatic movie feel. "Hi, yeah I am, I'm Iliana...call me Lucky or Lily and um this is Tiny." I spoke really fast. It was kind of a force of habit.

I smiled and said, "Nice to meet you Lucky" SilverHawk Stuck his head towards her and nickered I laughed and said, "SilverHawk says hello to you" I ran a hand over SilverHawk's neck.

"Hi Fella" Lucky stroked his neck and kissed his cheek, Tiny started pawning the ground

I smiled and said, "Have you had Tiny long? i've had SilverHawk for about 5 year now raised him from a 4 month old foal"

I smiled at the boy, "Hey, I'm Claire and I guess I got to go, Big test in Math tomorrow." I said smiling again then walking off.

I smiled, "Hey, I'm Isaac. Good luck on your test tomorrow"

[Claire Master]

I turned and smiled, "Thanks, I will need it." And with that, I was gone. Well, at Duchess's stall.

I smiled waved slightly and ran my fingers through SilverHawk's silky mane
