  I yawned slightly, as I stepped into the media centre of Canterwood. I was the only one in the room as my gladiator flats slapped the marble floor. I had gotten tired of wearing my heels, lately, and anyways, I was saving my best pair for my birthday party. I ran a hand through my tangled black curly hair as I started to envision what my birthday party was going to look like. I could just see it now, huge big pillars with long billowing cloth falling from each side.
I wanted it to be a masquerade party, so I hopped onto the couch, pulling my feet up next to me as I took off my British Flag clutch. I hopped back up and slid in a dvd, just to see which ones I would show during the sleepover part of my birthday party. Suddenly I heard a voice and my head snapped up to see them. Is this seat taken? They asked, and I shook my head no.

  And your just a beautiful mistake! I sang out, listening to my ipod while walking through the Media Center. A door was open slightly. I walked into and saw a girl sitting alone on a couch. Is this seat taken? I asked her, talking louder with my music on. She shook her head and I smiled that the girl. Thanks. I plopped down next to her and leaned back. So whatca watching? I asked her, turning my ipod off and putting it in my pocket.

Um, Toy Story, I think? I said, glancing at the dvd case in my hands. I had pulled it out randomly, I had no clue what I was watching. Luckily, Toy Story was one of my favourites, so I didn't mind watching it. I'm having a movie marathon so I can choose movies to watch during my sleepover for my birthday party. I explained. I had sent out a status update on ChatStall, sent an email out, and tweeted excessively about it, so I thought she should've known about it.

So thats why the girl looked so familiar. I didn't have a twitter but I recognized her from Chatstall and my email. Her birthday was coming out so she had been sending out the invitations. I couldn't quite remember her name exactly. Rose? No, but it was a plant name. Ivy. That was it. Oh I love Toy Story. Though I only have seen it a few times. I told her. And I RSVP to your party a few days ago. Under Carmela Vigil. I said, hoping I wasn't confusing her.

I flashed a smile at her as she told me her name was Carmel Vigil. She's one of the girls on ChatStall I thought. Oh yeah, I got your RSVP. It's gonna be awesome. Are you coming to the sleepover later? I asked her, watching the screen, then flicking my gaze back over at Carmel.

I wiggled my eyes mysteriously and childishly, before laughing and saying, Um, duh! They better. I'm hoping Ethan Daidas comes, he's hot. I said, shrugging. I leaned back into the cushy couch before jerking up and exclaiming, And my brother's coming, too! He's pretty cute. I showed her a picture of him on my phone.

I grinned at what she said about Ethan; he was one of my best buddies. She showed me a picture of her brother and I covered my wider grin with my hand. Her brother was pretty cute, though I wasn't sure he was off limits or anything. Isn't there like some girl code rule that says no going after your friends brother? Oh well. I yawned and stretched out my arms over my head. Well, boys or no boys, I'm going to your party no matter what. I shot her a silly smirk.

I gave her a shaky smile as I also turned back to movie. I tried to concentrate on the animated toys, I really did, but my brain was buzzing. So Rowan. Rowan Gallagher. Dang. I gonna keep an eye out for him. I don't even know the poor guy. Dramatic sigh. Well I guess I was going possibly meet him at the party. Wait a sec. What if he had a girlfriend?! We sat in silence, watching the movie. To be honest, it was kind of fun teasing Carmel about my brother. I know it sounded mean, but sometimes' I'm just like that. I fiddled a bit with my phone, flipping my iPhone out and texting a reply to my brother who said he'd be arriving at Canterwood soon. But it wasn't like I was going to go and meet him, we'd hang out later. I glanced over at Carmel, coming out of a daze when I heard her. Mhm. It's really pretty. Kind of a fiery red, you know? The hum of the air conditioning started up and cold hair blew from me side. Pieces of my hair blew into my face. Annoyed, I pushed them behind my ears. I haven't fully decided yet. I was thinking this blue strapless dress I have. I shrugged, not acknowledging the black tie dress code comment. Since coming to Canterwood, I have been invited to many parties like that. I mean, being in foster care meant a big night was eating out at soon decent restaurant.
