Confrontations (Open!)

I sat in my wheelchair reading a book when a group of guys walked up to me . I tried to ignore their presence but the leader said, "Hey cripple! what are ya reading?" I looked up to see five big burly guys staring down at me. I said calmly, "i'm reading the biography of Man o' War"

The leader looked at his friends and they started sniggering. I said, "What's so funny?" the leader replied with a grin, "This" without warning him and one of his cronies grabbed me pulled me out of my wheelchair. I shouted out, "Hey! let go! Hey! Stop! let go! ow!"

They ignored me and proceeded to pull off my bracers and grab my wheelchair and start running off. I lay on the ground coughing weakly one of the guys had kicked me in the stomach really hard and I had a split lip.

I was in the next aisle over when I heard a commotion from behind me. I turned around annoyed when I saw some guys picking on a guy in a wheel car. I blinked and I realized the guy in the wheel chair was Ben. I gasped when I saw him in pain. Grabbing the biggest book I could find from the shelf, I ran over to the where Ben laid on the ground. The guys had scampered with his wheel chair. I cursed aloud and bent next to him. Ben? I asked cautiously. Can you hear me? I wiped my head around and looked around for the guys. A nervous looking girl made eye contact with me and pointed to the right. "They went that way." She told me. I nodded my thanks and gently nudged Ben's shoulder. I know where the guys went. Do you want me to chase them down and whack them in the head? I asked him, gripping the book and biting down on my lip.

I blinked up at Carmel and mumbled, "I can hear you... geez..my head hurts...sure..hitting them in head sounds like real nice payback" my voice was slurred from the fact that I was bleeding. I mumbled, " I can't move... I need my bracers to be able to move properly... and those hugs took em'" a black was starting to form on my right eye and blood was trickling from my split lip.

I looked away; I was horrible when I was around blood. Taking a deep breath through my mouth, I turned back to Ben. Okay here I'll get you some water. I turned around only to run into a rather... well huge person. Looking up, I realized it was one of the guys who was messing with Ben. I swallowed hard and glared at him. "Well well well." He said, smirking down at Ben as he leaned against the book shelf. "Having fun down there?" Without thinking, I realized the book and hit him on the shoulder (Because thats the highest I could reach) with a loud Thud!

I glared at the guy and smirked when he yelped shock and pain as the book hit him squarely on the shoulder. I said, "Actually i'm having loads of fun down here I get to watch you get beat up by a book and that my friend is a wonderful reason to lying on the ground after being beaten up and robbed" The guy's eye twitched and he said angrily, "You little punk!"

[sammie]

I hear yelling, and gasp, seeing the scene. "Why don't you jerks just stay away from Ben?" I say angrily, glaring at the tall boy. He raises his eyebrows. "Oh, and here comes the blond babe to the rescue. Maybe you should rescue me, eh?" He says, grabbing my waist. I pull away. "You jerk! Get AWAY!" I shout, my eyes cold.

I blink watching the scene unfold as Sammie storms in. I say, "Hey tough guy unless you want me to punch you in face i'd leave my friends alone" the guy laughed and said, "What ya gonna do cripple? punch my leg?" I narrowed my eyes grabbed the table started dragging myself towards him I hoisted myself so I could see him better And held on with one arm onto the table with the arm and drew my fist back punch him in the stomach. the guy said, "aurgh! now you're gonna get it cripple!" He punched me in face. I fall back a grunt and put a hand to mouth my i'd bit my tongue so now more blood was running down my chin.

I let out a yell when the boy punched Ben. Hey pick on someone your on size! I pushed the book towards Sammie and ran up to the guy. He grinned at me, but not for long, as I slapped him with a smack! Get out of here. My voice was low, menacing even. It even scared me.

[sammie]

I nod. Like, now. He cowers away at what Carmel and I say, and I slowly hand the book back to Carmel as she leaves.

[benny]

I watched as the guy tore off out of the library shoving a few people down in his haste to get out. I mumbled, "thanks you two i'm glad you came when you did.." I lifted my hand to my mouth and wiped away some of the blood and looked around and muttered, "I hope they haven't done anything to wheelchair if they've broken it I'll be stuck to sitting in my dorm until I can buy a new one or I could just crawl every where until I get a new one.."

[sammie]

I look down, sadness filling me,

[benny]

I said, " hey...I think I see it! near the entrance of the library..I don't think I could crawl all the way other there from oh well might as well try.." I hoisted my self onto my elbows and started to crawl towards my wheelchair but ended up stopping halfway there.

[sammie]

I almost get annoyed, he could have just asked, but of course I don't. "Want help?"

[benny]

I said, "Yes Please probably shoulda asked before trying"

[sammie]

I walk ove and get his wheelchair for him. "It was awesome what Carmela did for you." I whisper. "You have to ask her out"
