I leaned against a book shelf as I paged through the novel that my English teacher had assigned to us. It seemed okay, despite the fact that it was about 500 pages and weight what seemed like ten pounds. Letting out a quiet sigh, I closed the book, tearing my eyes from it. I racked my open hand through my hair and turned around to go check out the book. However, I nearly smacked right into another girl who was looking at the shelf to my right. Ohmigod I'm so sorry. I said as loud as I dared to be. Maybe it was the short blonde hair but I felt like I knew this girl. She turned towards me and my heart stopped. Sierra! Umm. hi! I said, grinning like a fool to her. Where have you been?

  The library is a place where I guess I abuse the rights to be there. I wasn't reading, nor was I even getting a book. Personally, I wanted to be alone. I knew I needed to talk to my friends again, and I knew it's probably not healthy keeping everything to myself. But truthfully, I don't want to waste my time whining and complaining to my friends abaout something that shouldn't matter. I absent mindly looked through all of the books. I wasn't even sure what section I was in, but like I even care. I as turned aimlessly, I smacked right into somebody. I looked up and almost gasped at who I ran into.
Carmel.
One of the people I've been trying to avoid. Guess there's no avoiding it now.
She quickly apologized before she looked up and got a look of reconigtion. Pleaaaaase Carmel, don't ask about my where abouts.
"Sierra! Umm. Hi." She said. "Where have you been?"
Okay, never mind. I guess I couldn't tell her that I've been avoiding everyone, so I tried to keep it vague.

The guilt was already setting in. I knew she knew something was up, but if I tell her what I've been feeling, I'll seem so stupid. So I can't tell her... But I also don't like lieing to her face.

A stuttering reply from Sierra sent waves of confusion over to Carmel. She looked at her friend strangely, as though she was seeing her for the first time. Well alrighty then. She said back to her, her voice taking on a tone that didn't belong to her. Carmel wasn't really sure what else to say. Sierra may or may not be hiding something; maybe it was for the better Carmel didn't know what it was.

I sighed and fondled with the chains I called my necklaces. Saying all these lies didn't feel right at all. I wasn't one to lie to people I cared about. Well, truth be told, I barely knew anything about Carmel, yet she had been my best friend from before I seemed to disappear off of the face of the earth. She was there for me, so the least I could do is at least apologize.

Carmela's eyes widened at Sierra's apologize and she reached over to hug one of her best friends. Don't even worry about it S. She comforted her. I should be the one apologizing, pressing you with all those questions. Carmel let out a little sniffle. It had surprised her when Sierra apologize. Carmel was even a hundred percent sure on why she was apologizing in the first place.

My eyes widened a bit at she hugged me, but I returned it anyways. I guess I kind of needed it after being alone forso long. It was actually slightly depressing. I pulled away and gave her a slight smile.

With my cheeks all puffed out and my teeth biting my lip, I tried to stop myself to start laughing. It was only when Sierra voiced her thoughts on the horrible comeback did I let the giggles out. Okay, I had to admit it was pretty bad. I agreed, clutching my sides.
