I let my little Arabian go for all she was worth but she didnt do so well on the turn. Vi's horse was much better for turns. I felt Starlight gather her muscles to leap ove rteh log that would serve as the finish line. She had a very wide jump, so we over took Vi and Harley. Pur horses were side by side until something got into Harley and they beat us by probably about a quater of a lenght. I slowly let Starlight into a walk, then let her stretch. I turned on Starlight to look at Vi. I saw her grinning a widely as me. That was so much fun! I flopped back so I was laying flat against Starlight's spine.

I grin. "I know right!" We got you on that turn." I say, smiling. "Harley's an appaloosa, so he was literally bred for barrel racing." To show her, I asked Harley to turn. He spun around on his hindquarters, during a full turn without moving his front legs.

I sat up to watch Vi and Harley with their Western barrel racing moves. i grinned. That's so cool. I wish I could do that. I looked at Starlight. I'm pretty sure she doesn't do that. I pulled her head out of the grass and lead her to the 6 foot wide creek. It was very shollow and smooth sand, so I backed up and postitioned her to jump it. SHe knew wha tto do and prepared to run. I softlly kicked her and she sprang forward, leaving me hanging on the her mane. I settled myself and signaled her to jump. She took off and flew over the creek. We landed softly on the other sid eand then i turned to Violet. But can Apaloosa's do that? I grinned challengingly but friendly at her.

I smiled. "Yes, actually. I need a head start though." I backed up Harley and urged him into a slow gallop. Harley reached the creek and tucked his legs underneath him. We landed closer then Heather, his back legs barley touching the creek.

I grinned. Her little Apoloosa was pretty strong. I sighed. Okay, I have one last trick that I have taught Aristocrat and Starlight. I let go of the reins and pulled my legs up under me. I slowly stood, not wanting to get hurt, or spook teh horses. I bent down and picked up the reins, and lighty signaled Starlight to go. We walked back across the creek and then she started trotting. I urged her into a canter as we neared an open field. I was standing on her back while she was galloping. I turned her in a circle and then toward the creek. I didn't know what I was trying to do, but Starlight prepared to jump. As she did that i dropped teh reins and just as she lifted up I grabbed on to a thick branch above the creek. I hung there and Starlight jumped without me. She landed on the other side and then walked under me. I let go, letting all 87 pounds of me slide onto her back. I grinned at Vi. How was that?

I smiled and clapped. "Pretty awesome. My turn for a trick." I hopped off of Harley and took off his bridle. I gripped his mane and got on him from the ground. I urged Harley into a canter and Harley flyed over a 3 foot log.

That was awesome. I can never get my horse to go one direction without a bridle. I grinned at her and pulled out my phone. It was 6:00. I gasped. Hey, it's 6 already. Do you wanna head back and change then go to The Slice with me? I felt my stomache rumble.

I think about it. "Um, sorry, I can't." I said, feeling bad. I had been planning to get takeout at the slice and go eat in my dorm. I didn't like hanging out with people too long, because the longer they hang out with you, the more they want you to start sharing secrets. "I have to do homework and I was planning for a dinner in." I said. It was true. Partially.

Okay, it's fine. I probably hav ehomework to start on too. I always like to be ahead anyway. I gave Vi a smile and then turned back to the trail. Ready?

I nod. "Yup." Harley and Starlight canter down the trail in Harmony. Back at the barn, I put Harley in his stall and said goodbye.
