I waited in the barn and then Corey showed up. "Your horse is already ready now I'll meet you back there." I said to him smiling. He just nodded his head and I smiled. I had only put lead ropes on his halter same with Zane's. I waited patiently for them to get here. COME ON!

I walked into the barn exactly 23 minutes after I'd split up with Lola and Sierra. "Guys?" I asked walking in. I walked to Congo's stall and brushed him for a while. About, 15 minutes later I grabbed his tack. I carefully tacked him up and looked around. I still had no idea what had happened and wondered why Lola had asked us on a trail ride so randomly. Hmmmm. Well, who cares? Good excuse to come to the stables and ride Congo. I finally spotted Lola and walked over. "Hey." I said, my voice full of exhaustion.

I cleaned up my face a little bit in my dorm room so no traces of mascara were left. I realpied more to my eyes and added a little smudge to it. My hand reached for my favorite lip gloss, but I pulled it back. I got that the day I met corey. My mind said. I could feel tears starting to build up, but I pushed them back. This was a time to be strong and not cry. My hand my Cherry Pomagranet Lip Smackers and applied a coat. That was all I was willlingly going to do. I quikly slipped a pair od comfortable jeans and a random T-Shirt. I pulled my riding boots out of my closet, slipped them on, I headed to the door. I stopped mid-step, and turned to the mirror. I checked if I was going to be close to tears and though, I not going to cry. I finally headed out my room. As I walked down the hall, alot of people gave me looks of sympathy. Either news travled faster than I thought, or that Ian Kabra guy had one big mouth. I kind of sank lower as they all looked at me, making me look even more pathetic than I already did. When I finally reached the door, I opened it and was blinded by sunlight, and feelings of betrayal.
Even though it only took me ten minutes to get ready, it took another fifteen minutes to walk down the path. I walked slow and steady, even though right now it felt like that wouldn't win the race. My feet kept wanting to go faster, so did my heart, but it was like gravity was pulling me back to my dorm. I looked around everywhere, hopeing I would not see Corey or Ian, it would be too much and I would start crying agian. And I swore there would be no more crying. I could finally see the stable, they were about ten yards away, but to me they looked about ten miles away. I walked slower as I reached the entrance of the stables, and it was like hours until I opened the door. I could see Lola and Rosie by each other. I took a deep, shakey breath and walked over to where they were standing. This will be a great way to get my mind off of Corey. I thought. Just me and my two best friends. I walked down to where they were standing, and weakly said, "Hey guys." Both of their heads turned my way. I just sat in the corner of Francais's stall, moping and moaning where I sat. The stable had gotten quiet, like nobody was there. "They wouldn't leave without me, would they?" I pondered. Steadily and slowly, I stood up. My feet stepped on the hay with a crunch, and startled Francais. Maybe I was so quiet that he forgot I was there. I looked around the stable, realizing something was missing. " THEY LEFT!!" My head screamed. Stumbling and breathing heavily, I ran over to my bay gelding's tack, tack him up in less than four minutes, (NEW RECORD FOR ME!!) and quickly cantered to the pond. I eased Francais to a walk and weakly said to Lola and Rosie, " Forget somebody?" My breath got heavier and heavier, like I had just ran a mile in three minutes. Both of my so-called 'friends' who-left-without-me-when-I-just-had-a-heart-breaknig-situation turned their heads. "Sorry I told you it has to be fast." I said. I nodded over in the trees and Corey came out on his Appaloosa gelding. "You two at least need to be friends because it's going to be all weird for me if your not!" I yelled startling Zane causing him to rear. I pulled back on the reins making sure he wouldn't fall into the lake turning him in circles. Finally, when he didn't calm down a gave him a tap on his hauches and he slowed.
