Days seem to pass and go, honestly, I would think that they would drag on forever if it weren't for the fact that there were horses at Canterwood. That was the only thing that made being on the east coast bearable for me was that at the end of the day, after days of boring classwork, I could walk down the stone pathways and go straight to the barn. It's not that I wasn't happy here, I was in my own content way, but I just missed being home, I missed my siblings as well. But I couldn't change that. It's not like I didn't have friends, I socialized a lot, and I'd liked to think I was being out going for the most part. Oh well. There was just something about walking into the barn and getting a blast of that horsey smell that made me forget about everything and feel content again in life.
"Flash!" I called out now, met with a whinny in return as I saw his head stick out from his stall now, staring down the aisle at me. Knowing my horse, he was bored from a day of sitting around in his stall. Sliding the door open, his muzzle rested against the top of my head for a moment before I moved it and blew hot air at his nose. A snort escaped the horse now, flaring his nostrils ever so slightly before I grabbed his halter and lead him out to the cross ties, "How bout after I groom you, we go do some fun stuff, huh?" I asked him with a grin now, and it was as if he understood me, let out another whinny, nodded his head as best as he could in the cross ties. [/blockquote][/color] TAG: Open! It had been a while since I had visited Rolex, things had just been so chaotic between Amanda and Ashlee that I just had been uncertain of what to do. So, in simple fashion, I ended up hiding in the likes of my room until everything had cooled over. Funny, I was always the loner of the school, people picked fights with me, not about me. Either way, I was glad it was all over now. Honestly, I had felt guilty about not seeing my horse, he hadn't deserved any of that treatment. I guess it's save to say that I had been selfish a little when it came to keeping myself out of trouble and using it as an excuse to not leave my room at all.
Heading into the barn, I walked to Rolex's stall now and glanced in, "Hey there," I said with a smile. My appaloosa just glanced at me now, a snort escaped him as he tossed his head. Instead of coming to me though, he simply turned away from me and continued to look out the window. I practically winced at the action, "I suppose I deserve that," I commented now. Horses were weird some times, the moment you left them for more than two days, it was like you were some sort of trainer, "Want me to explain?" I asked, but Rolex paid no need to me.
Looks like I'll be having to build our relationship back up with bribery, or jealousy. Granted, I hardly knew any of the other horses around here. Glancing down, I saw a girl had her horse out in the cross ties now, grooming. I wasn't really once for socializing, but maybe if I approached her, then maybe it would be enough to get my own horse's attention back, "Hey, are you two new? I haven't seen you around before."
