I led Fifa my 8 year old Norwegian Fjord gelding to a pair of cross ties and fetched my grooming box after I untacked him and gave him a light hose down. I started to run a body brush over him so that his coat gleamed a sunny dun color. I ran a mane comb through his mane and picked his hooves. I looked up as someone walked past me.

It’s been four days. Four days since I’ve seen my dearly beloved Francais. I know to you that must not seem like long for you, but to me, it seems like years. He must be so lonely, even with the stable hands there to help him. It just seems that he’s the only person I could really talk to and trust. So that’s where I’m going now; the stables. I walked into the stables and inhaled the wonderful scent of horses and hay I’ve come to love. Not everyone can handle the smell at first, but I find it one of the most calming ones. For a second, I just looked around at the many horses and (few) riders there in the building. Just being inside the familiar aura seemed…. Surreal, I shall put it.
As I walked over to my wonderful gelding’s stall, I passed by a boy with curly hair working on a beautiful horse… His coat gleamed, like it had just been brushed. He was beautiful, and the boy wasn’t so bad looking himself.
Curls bounced as he looked up at me and I stopped to smile.
“Hey,” I greeted. “He’s beautiful; what breed is he?” I smiled down brighter at the boy in front of me.

A Norwegian Fjord, huh. I remember when I was little, I pulled the tail of one of those horses and cause my uncled to get a broken leg from get stepped on by a horse. He's never walked the same way again. "Wow, I've only seen one of those before, and he actually crushed my uncle's leg," I giggled, still smiling at the stuttering boy. "Well, I pull the poor gelding's tail so I guess it was my fault."

I smiled weakly and said, "norwegian's are really sensitive about their tails so it's natural for him to be upset Fifa's petty good he's just REALLY skittish" I patted Fifa's neck.

I nodded in understanding. Francais could be pretty skittish when he really wants to. "Well, he seems to like you a lot! It's good that he seems to have such a caring owner," I smiled at him. He seemd lonely, I could see it in his eyes. And so was I; avoiding your friends for weeks can get very.... Boring. "What are you guys best at? Show jumping is my life, same for my gelding, Francais."

I shrugged and said, "I've had Fifa since he was bon so we're pretty much best friends and me and Fifa prefer show jumping and Cross country It stops me from thinking too much of the bad things in life I find if I think to much of the bad things in life I have panic attacks "

Bad things in life... I guess he's gone through some traumatic exspiriances. Yeah, sure, my dog had dad and my great grandma died, but I have never seen true sadness. "Yeah, that's why I always try to be as optimistic as physically possible," I said. "Helps boost my self cofindence."

Smiled at his statement about his horse. It's good some people (Including me) had that great of a relationship with their horse. "That's good your able to talk to you horse like that.. It seems to me that my gelding is really the only person who can understand me," I said.

I bit my lip as I gazed at him. His words were just so sad... It was almost infectious. "I know we just met but... If you really just need somebody to talk to, just find me. I'll either be here or the Sweet Shoppe." I offered, giving hip a shy smile. "Oh, by the way, I'm Sierra! I guess I should've told you that!" laughed.

Hmm, don't know many James. It is a nice name, though. "Nice to meet you James. You're obviously new here, so if you ever need my help with anything just ask." I offered. I haven't really seen him around.
