Carmela found herself wandering around the Canterwood campus, once again, for the third time that day. She just couldn't find herself interested in anything worthwhile. She already visited and groomed Memory for tomorow lesson, unpacked her bag from her unplanned week trip, and she already went along to all of her teachers to collect the boat load of homework that Carmel had to make up.
However she just couldn't make herself sit down and work on it. The numbers blurred and the words rearranged herself. She figured that she just needed a break from pretty much everything and restored into wandering the campus at eight o'clock at night. Considering it was a Saturday, the Media Center was a ghost town, with a few students trickling in here and there. Not that Carmela was complaining though. She needed some time alone to collect the thoughts that had been circling in her head.
First: the whole 'friends' situation. Carmela missed her old friends, her actual friends. Did she consider Sammie, Violet and the whole crowd her friends? Not at all. She did think that they considered Carmela their friend, or even in Sammie's case, their best friend. It pretty much took all of Carmela's strength not to blow up and start choking them or something whenever they were together. They were just to clingy, to boy and popularity obsessed for her to like them. Carmela even though that some of them were stuck in the delusion that they were popular. Please. Popularity was something that Carmela never really gave much thought to but it seemed to be taking over those girls lives, not that she really cared.
Carmela stood up from the plush red couch in the Media Center to find a private room to relax in for the rest of the night. She didn't want any of her 'friends' to find her and wanna hang out and talk and gossip, blah blah blah. Maybe she was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even see the girl in the first place. Carmela only realized that a girl with dark hair was on the floor, glaring up at her. Oh. I'm sorry. Her monotone tried to apologize.
The girl stood up and gave Carmela another glare. "Just watch where you are going." She snapped back at her.
Something in Carmela's mind clicked and she found herself glaring right back at the girl. Well I'm sorry. I didn't know the Queen was in town. She said right back to the girl.

Moving from Wales, Britain, to a peppy American boarding school wasn't the hard part for Freya. Meeting a bunch of preppy popular girls at the preppy school was her problem. She played her fingers along the edge of the wooden railing as she walked towards a random room in this huge academy, thoughts occupying her. Why was she sent here, especially because this was a riding school and she had no experience in riding? Yes, a few lessons and one failed bucking might've been experience, but this Brit was more into Polo than riding. She giggled at the memories she had back at home as she entered a new room, one filled with movies and magazines. Almost like a library, but this was more...modern. She wrinkled her nose in disgust as she passed a few students cramming, who smelled as if they hadn't taken a shower in a week. Freya ran a hand through her hair and studied her nails, not keeping track of what was happening. I should really re-do my nails sometime soon...
Suddenly she slammed into another body and fell down to the ground, blazer and body kicking up dust. "Oh I'm sorry," a girl's voice rang out and Freya shot back, "Watch where you're going!" while standing up. She took in the girl, hazel eyes looking up and down her form, seeing if she was a threat or not. Freya always tended to do that. Over analyze every single second and situation and see if the persons around her were a threat or not. Not knowing exactly what she was, Freya turned her bored gaze up to the girl. "Well I'm sorry. I didn't know the Queen was in town." She said and Freya huffed, curling her upper lip in disgust. "I'm a Queen now? Oh, well then shouldn't a lowly peasant be bowing down to her Majesty?" She asked aloud, voice ringing through the media centre. She didn't actually mean for her to bow down, but it was a funny joke in her mind.

Despite the fight that seemed to be brewing within the two girls, Carmela found herself letting out a small smile at the girl's reaction that soon morphed into a smirk that hasn't seen the light of day in some time. Usually she would have never even dared to let out a smirk. The Carmela Vigil would never do something as 'rebel-like' as smirk. However, right now, staring at the girl's face, Carmela could hardly give a darn to what she would usually do.
Who said I wasn't the Queen also? Carmela answered her, putting on the innocent girl act. It was almost ironic, the whole 'Queen' thing the two girls were putting on. The more the other girl spoke, the more pronounced her accent became. British, Carmela guessed in her head, not having the guts to go out a ask her where she was from, much less her name. Plus I bet you know I would be nowhere near the ranking of a lowly peasant. She added in, almost cheekily.
Carmela still had no idea where these words were coming from. This wasn't the regular Carmela. The regular Carmela was a cookie cutter copy of pretty much the perfect daughter/boarding student. The kind of person who got their weekend homework done on Friday nights and meet up with their best friends on a daily basis for the latest going-ons at the school. No, this was a way different Carmela. And she liked it way more than the the other one.

She cocked her head to one side, as she had done so famously at other times, and stared smirkingly at the girl. She didn’t know why, but Freya found this girl like her frenemy, if you will. Freya had made too many enemies in life, so a frenemy would be the closest thing to a friend that she would ever get to. It wasn’t her fault that she never really made friends. Well, no, scratch that. It was her fault. Freya was just kind of that social popular outcast that never really wanted to hang out with anyone. The nerds, the actual rebels, and the populars. Oh the Populars. Whenever their lives would cross paths back at home, one of them would always crash and burn. Usually it was the populars, though Freya didn’t mind admitting that yes, she did crash and burn once in a while. But usually she came back with a flamethrower in hand and a grenade in the other. ”Ah, so you’re the Queen Bee here?” It was rather a shame, if she was. Freya took a liking to her. She seemed nice enough, bad girl enough. ”I was sure that the queen here was someone named Sammie. I met her in the gym. Tall blonde girl, rich girl clothes?” She commented, now cocking her head to the other side, laughing mentally. Really, that girl couldn’t have been more of the American replica of a ‘follower’, back at her old school. She raised her eyebrows in surprise at the girl’s next words. ”Well how would I know what ranking you would be? I don’t even know your name.” She answered, a laugh dancing on her lips.

Okay it was official; New Carmela was freaking the Old Carmela out. A lot. Maybe it was because Real Carmela didn't really know which one she liked better. Maybe it was because New Carmela saying and doing stuff that Old Carmela would consider 'unsafe' and even 'juvenile' or some other crazy thing like that. Carmela didn't know which side of her to go with, and as stupid as it may sound, she honestly didn't know with side she truly wanted to be
New Carmela seemed to find her way forward with the way she answered British girl's questions. Me? Queen Bee? You must be really delusional to think that I, She gestured to herself. would be Queen Bee. Despite my, ah, experience her at Canterwood. She finished with a wink. Carmela took a second to consider what the other girl had said. Sammie stuck in the day dream that she is the so called 'Queen Bee'. Carmela smirked and cocked her hip to the side, something that had usually seemed really petty to her. Its survival of the fittest here at Canterwood and Sammie is pretty much drowning herself. Carmela raised her eyebrows back at the girl, not quite sure at what she was getting at. Call me Carmel. She replied simply. For some reason, the 'friends' have a habit of calling her by her real name of Carmela. That bugged the crap out of her.
