Chomp, Chomp The sound of horses munching on their grain lit the barn with the noisy sound. The morning was young and the humans and horses knew it. THe workers in the barn lazily walked to each stall and pored the feed into each bucket. "Thanks again Josh. We can always use extra hands." Josh hadn't planned on helping the workers but somehow just feeding his horse, he ended up feeding ten. "Aww, It was fine. I can help Rebel's friends any day." He said smirking. Rebel was a terrible friend to any horse, well if he had any friends. The thirteen year old gelding was a gelding on the outside, and a mare on the inside. Josh hopped today, was going to be Rebel's 'Good Days', but Rebel was never slow at living up to his name.
A few minetes later Josh had Rebel tacked up and ready to go trail riding when Mr. Conner wallked into the stables, "Josh, I hope you arn't planning on trail riding alone. That is against the rules son." JOsh sighed and rolled his eyes, "Yes, Mr. Cornner." The boys said as he headed toward the outdoor arena. "I can go trail riding by myself, What? Do they think I can get lost or hurt. Please, those rules are for the girls." Josh murmured to Rebel who had his ears perked toward the mares in a pasture, "Come on now, Your gelded buddy. And I am sorry about that." Josh said smirking and patting his gelding on the neck. The two walked to the outside arena and Josh mounted Rebel. The horse short forward and almost succeeded in dismounting his rider. "No, no no no." Josh said to him and pulled back on the reins. Throwing his head Rebel listened and walked.
After five rounds of trotting and sometimes a canter, Josh looked back at the barn to see if anyone was watching. Then, he lead Rebel out of the arena and made his was to the trail. Once in, the sighed in relief and let his rebellious horse walk on his own.

I walked Josh out of the outdoor arena. We had had a good ride, and both of us were tired and sweaty. I patted Josh on the shoulder, telling him he was a good boy. That's when I saw the boy walking onto the trail by himself with his horse. Even though I had only been at the school for a short period of time, I knew the rules. One of which were that you couldn't go trail riding alone. No matter how experienced you were, no matter what age, you couldn't trail ride alone. It was dangerous, plus, if you were caught you couldn't ride for three weeks, an eternity in horseback riding years. I passed the boy, and didn't say anything, not wanting to be rude. But I couldn't contain myself. "You know, we're not supposed to go trail riding alone." I said, then bit my lip. I didn't want the boy to think that I was some sort of stuck up, prissy, goody two shoes. Even though that I was only partly true. I was a goody two shoes. I always did my homework, studied for everything, got good grades, was in bed by 10 (at least on school nights). But that kid didn't know this. And if I wanted to make friends here, I would have to let people do there own thing and not butt into other peoples business. I swallowed, waiting for his response.

The young boy watch the girl as she rode ahead of him. A long moan came out of his mouth as he slouched in his saddle,"And just when I think I'm alone. Not something you get a lot at this school is it?" He said rolling his eyes at the girl, Josh wasn't one to suck up and be all 'Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know' he knew he was doing wrong but he truly didn't care. "What are you going to do? Rat me to Mr. Conner?" He asked pushing Rebel into a trot.

"No." I told him. I wanted to say something else, something sassy or snarky or something that one of those girls on television would say. "I'll go with you though." I said clearly. I felt like saying something else, like "it's too dangerous to go alone", but I could tell that this boy wouldn't care about that. Why else would he be out here? He obviously knew the risks and just didn't care. I did need a relaxing trail ride, and this was a pretty good reason to go. I led Josh to the boy and his gorgeous horse, stopping short next to him.

I found myself with a smirk on my face, "They only way to ride with me, Is to keep up good girl." I said a kissed Rebel into a canter. I didn't even care to look back as I rode away from the first girl at Canterwood who had interacted with me in person, this other chick.. Bella, yea Bella is her name. She texted me and apparently I am meeting her to go riding sometime. Oh well, I better get used to chicks loving me. Or, they are just desperate. Ether was Its fun.

I raised an eyebrow, watching the boy cantering away from me. He seemed a bit full of himself, but still fairly nice. I had taken Josh around these trails more than once, so we knew our way around. It seemed safe and we were on the easiest trail there was. There weren't any huge logs or tree branches in the way, and Josh seemed eager enough. I led Josh into a smooth canter. He loved it. We came up towards the boy as we cantered through an open field. I smiled, almost laughing, at the fun we were having. We were nowhere near as fast as the boy and his horse. I kicked Josh on and took him around the edge of the open field, cutting the corner short and riding up next to the boy. It wasn't fair, and I knew that. So did the boy. I looked across and smiled. "Looks like I can!" I said with a laugh, bringing Josh to a walk next to the boy.
