Let's Dance (Open!)

I walked into the Dressage arena holding the reins of Whispering Willow's or Willow my 6 year old black arabian mare. I asked her to halt and after I checked the stirrups and her girth I swung myself into the saddle with ease. I settled myself in the saddle and collected my reins and asked her to walk her gait was graceful and steady even at a walk.

I let her walk around the ring once then I clicked my tongue and gave a tap with my legs to ask her to go forwards to a nice collected working trot. I smiled as we trotted gracefully around the ring. I let her trot three times around the ring before I asked her for a canter and we danced forwards beautifully the light from the windows glinted off of Willow's gleaming ebony coat.

I smiled and patted her shoulder while in canter. I asked her to slow to a working trot and then I moved my reins and asked her to do a Piaffe then a Passage we danced through the moves in a perfect sync. I looked up startled when some walked in to the ring I hadn't thought anyone else would come in here if I was in here. I returned my attention back to Willow and applied pressure to her sides with my legs when she tried to slow down.

I'm walking towards the geldings field to catch Hugo, who I'd planned to walk around the field ... not only for him to get to know the place but for me as well. When i walked past the dressage ring, I hear hoofbeats and I look over. There's a tall, dark haired girl on a nice looking black horse. I can tell it's an Arabian, because my horse was also. I watched for a few seconds. She was good, and her horse moved fluently through the course.
