(Sorry for the crappy post- I'm at a library comp!) I walk into the library, my light pink book bag flung over my shoulder. I came to check my email, so I went into the computer lab, expecting it to be bustling. To my surprise, it's deserted as I take a seat and open my email. The only mail I usually got was from some family and a few friends back home, but to my surprise, once I again, I had a new sender on my list. Oh, god.I thought, looking at the name on the screen. "Damian Smith" It read. My ex, Damian, hadn't emailed me since I caught him cheating- and I was happy to keep it that way. I had been wayy too young for a boyfriend and the whole thing was so stupid. But now, as I opened his email, I felt ongoing pangs of dread. Just as I was about to read it, someone walked in. I turned to see...

“I'll be back, I swear, just got some homework to do,” [/b] I told my horse now as he rested his chin on the top of my head, glancing out into the stalls. Ducking out from underneath the small weight of his chin, I patted Fox one last time on the cheek before I headed out. Behind me, I could hear a whinny escape him. Fox wasn't a fan of being left behind, I couldn't blame him since he was stuck in a stall half of the time, but there was nothing that I could do other than let the hands know that he should be out as much as possible. Glancing back over my shoulder, my horse had already disappeared back into the comfort of his stall. Smiling, I shook my head slightly and headed out towards the main campus. Canterwood proved to be a lot harder than I thought. My first impression was that it would be nice to be on the same grounds as my horse, no more driving to and from school to get to him, nor more nagging of my parents as to how often I could see my horse, yet, it distracted me from my school work now. Most times, I found myself just wanting to lounge out on his back reading a book while he grazed rather than sit around a boring classroom learning about biology or whatever it was they expected me to learn. Honestly, I just wanted to quit school all together and just focus on riding. A little daff maybe, but all the best ideas were I thought, and it left me something to work up to. I might not get a shot at the olympics with Fox, but at least around the states, I was determine to get noticed. However though, schoolwork still came first until I could talk my parents into this plan. And so came my reading project. Had my book, but there was still plenty of research that I had yet to complete. Background, themes, and other things that were best located with the help of a computer and seeing as the labs were closer than my own dorm, it was easy to decide where to go. Pushing the door open to the lab now, it was uncharacteristically quiet and empty, save for one girl. Allowing the door to shut behind me now, the sound must have been louder than I imagined as the girl turned in her seat and glanced back at me. “My apologizes, I did not mean to disturb you. Don't mind me at all,”[/b] I replied now, my southern accent subtle but still noticeable. Walking past her, I sat down at a computer two seats down from the girl and began to work. I tried to ignore her, but it was rather hard since she was pretty cute. [/blockquote] WORDS: 475 TAG: Brooklyn Valentine NOTES: Hope you don't mind I joined this! I grin. "No, it's okay." I tell him, my eyes flirty as I toss my deep brown hair over my shoulder and turn back to my computer screen.
