Cornered (open!)

I walked towards my dorm humming happily when I felt someone grab my wrist and drag me towards the pool I gasped, "Hey! let go of me! hey!" suddenly a hand clamped over my mouth and I heard a guy's voice, "Hush!" I tried to wriggle away but soon we were in the...pool area? what was going on I turned to see my captor it was the guy and his friends who'd dumped cherry juice over me kin the sweet shoppe!

I backed away only to back into a corner. I looked around and looked for away out but I was cornered. The guy smiled and said, "Now. Here's how it's going to work Chinese girl we're going to chat then you're going to go to your dorm and pack your bags we don't need your kind around here" I took in a deep breath and said, "No I came here to stay and stay I will" I gasped where the guy slapped me. I looked out the window from the corner of my eye and saw someone watching I mouthed "help me!" to them quickly.

[Laurel]

Out of the window of my class I saw Courtney. Some guys were - beating her up?!

"Excuse me, may I be excused?" I babbled, racing out of the classroom, down the stairs to the pool. I tapped one of the boys on the shoulder.

"Hey, jerk! Leave her the heck alone!" I kicked his shins with my steel tipped riding boots, and he winced in pain.

"Courtney, are you O-" I was cut off by the boy grabbing my arm, hard. "Hey, let GO!"

[courtney]

I saw Laurel running towards me and I kicked the guy in the shin but he slapped me again harder this time. I gasped and kicked him between the legs he fell over instantly. One of the guys grabbed Laurel and I charged him and grabbed the back of his shirt and punched him in the face before kicking him between the legs as well the other four guys looked at us then at their friends then ran away yelling something about scary chinese people. I said, "Laurel you ok?" I winced as I spoke and touched the spot where the guy had slapped me I figured my lip was split and i'd probably have a black eye.

I watched as Courtney beat off the other guys - man, I would not want to be on the wrong side of her! They ran off, shouting some racist crap.
"Are you OK?" Courtney asked, wincing.
"Yeah, I'm fine - what about you! Do you want an aspirin?" I looked around, checking that the gang of jerks had really gone. I straightened my sweater and looked up at the classroom. Luckily, no one had noticed what was going on.

I shook my head and said, "I'm fine I can't believe those jerks!" I shook my head and looked around I spotted something glittering on the ground gasped horrified and slid the floor and said, "My pendant! oh no!" I brushed the crushed pieces of the necklace into a pile and sat back and started to cry that necklace was all I had left my grandmother she'd been a huge role in my life i'd been devastated when she'd died.

[Laurel]

I was about to reply to Courtney when she sank to the ground, with a look of disbelief, staring at a broken pendant on the floor.

I walked over to her, and cautiously laid a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm so, so sorry. We can't let them get away with this any more. Getting slushied is one thing - getting beat up is another. They could be expelled for this. I think that main guy was Troy McAdams." I felt a lump form in my throat as I watched Courtney stare at the sparkling pieces of her necklace.

[courtney]

I took off my scarf and swept the pieces into my scarf and tied it shut securely and said, "I need to find Mr. Connor i'm done with these jerks!" I started walking away my eyes blazing then I stopped and turned to Laurel and said, "Thanks for helping and..." I walked over to her and grabbed her shirt arm and said, "We're going to find Mr. Connor Together" I kept walking out the door my scarf clutched tightly in my hand and Laurel's shirt arm in the other.

[Laurel]

Courtney looked very fierce as she grabbed my shirt, and I was kinda glad that she was going to Mr. Conner, to end this whole, horrible bullying thing... although I was nervous to face Mr. Conner as well.

"Yeah, we are totally getting them kicked out!" I set off with Courtney to the stables.

[courtney]

I nodded and hurried to the stables and looked before saying,"Which way to Mr. Connor's office?" I looked around for a sign or something that mentioned where to find Mr. Connor's office or where to find Mr. Conner himself.
