 I could not believe the luck I was having. I lost my Geometry book, which was soo unlike me. I spilled coffee on my fave shorts so I had to throw them out. And then my father threatened to take me out of Canterwood and send me back to NYC to the public school I was at. Not a good mood today.
I walked into The Slice, hoping some pizza and a soda would help me chill out. I walked up to the hostess and let her seat me. As I walked to my table I got soem glances from a few cute guys on the way. Why? Well, I was wearing super short shorts, a tube tops, and black Vans. I also had a hat my friend from NYC had given me before I left. I thanked the waitress and sat down. Then someone walked up to me. I looked up and sighed. It was ___.

When Dane walked into the slice early on Saturday evening, he wasn't expecting to be one of the only ones in the delectable-smelling pizza shop. The only other people here were a pretty blond girl, a tall, red-haired guy reading a tiny yellow book, and a group of grade 11 girls around the biggest table of the shop. Dane decided his best bet was blonde's extra seat. He ordered a large extra-cheesy slice and a bottle of Root Beer. He walked boldly over to the girl's table and smiled slightly. "Hey. Mind if I sit here?" He asks.

I looked up at the guy. He was attractive, but not quite my type. I glanced around the room slowly before shrugging. Sure, whatever. I noticed him slightly flinch but didn't bother saying anythign more. The waitress brought my Root Beer and cheese pizza just as he sat down. I took a sip of my soda and looked at the guy. Hey, sorry. I'm not usually like this. I've just had a crapy day. I'm Heather. I offered him my hand and a smile, hoping he hadn't ruined the chance at a friendship.

I grinned at Dane, shaking his hand. I swooned when he smiled, knowing that he knew what it did to girls. I tossed my hair over my shoulder and leaned over the table a little. So... I guess your knew here at Canterwood. I made my voice sound like a purr and grinned mysteriously.

Dane grinned, she was hot, but he was set on another girl. But there was nothing wrong with making girls obsessed with him. He tossed the curls covering his eyes away and let the sparkle in his eye show. "Yeah. Is it that obvious?"

I shook my head, letting my long blonde hair wave around my shoulders. no of course not. I just have never seen you around before. Where are you from/ I grinned again, then remembering my food took a couple bites and a sip of my pizza.

I noticed Dane pause, so I just nodded and dropped the subject. Do you like it at Canterwood? I know you probably like all the really pretty girls... I gave him a sly grin, wondering how he was going to answer that.

Dane raised a dark eyebrow. "I can think a girl's pretty without liking her." He paused. "You know, I don't usually like the girls I flirt with." He said, the corners of his mouth twitching up into a grin.

I raised my eyebrows. Oh is that so? I giggled slightly. So what category do I fall in? Like or just flirting? I looked into his eyes, noticing that they were absolutely gorgeous.

I shook my head slighty, letting my eyes darken just a tad. Well, for me you fall into liking... and I'm gettign the impression that you feel the same way. I looked at him under my long eyelashes. Am i right?

Dane grinned crookedly, closing his eyes for a second. "Sorry, Heather. But we just met." He paused. "So no."
He picked up his empty pizza plate and cup and stood, throwing them out before nodding his goodbye and leaving the shop.
