I was on my way to groom Charm to check my outfit to make sure it was horse hair free. I was wearing a purple sleek sleeve shirt with white breeches,and shiny white(already bought) show boots mom and dad bought me. I was in front of Charm's stall.He was still asleep."Charmy" He raised his head with wide eyes looking at me. "I know you hate the name I was trying to wake you up. I came in on tip toes to kiss his cheek. I came out of his stall and went to the tack room. I came out with Charm's tack box,bridle,saddle,and lead line. I brought the stuff to his stall. I brought Charm out and hooked the lead line to a of pair of cross-ties. I brought the Caramel saddle over my shoulder and put it on his back then hooked the bridle between his mouth. I unhooked his lead line from the cross-ties and almost forgotten about the stirrups. I stuck my left foot in the same stirrup and put the other foot in,then I put my helmet on. I walked Charm into the Arena before Mr.Conner came in. I trotted him against the wall and practiced with him. I heard a hose coming in. I looked up and saw Heather come in with Aristocrat. Other riders came riding in.Then Mr.Conner came in riding on a school hose he had been training."Ok we're going to do cross country today.I screamed in my head. We followed Mr.Conner out of the arena to a cross country course some set up. There was two jumps and and a double oxer."Sasha you're up first." I circled Charm and we headed for the first jump. The wind swooshed in my ears. I counted strides 1,2,3,GO I squeezed my legs against Charms" sides and he tucked his legs under him then flew over the jump. We rushed toward the second jump, then Charm tugged on the reins I tried to hold him back,but he took off to late and knocked a rail. My face flew pink with embarrassment. I got Charm recovered and we scored the double oxer. I trotted him back to the others. Heather(of course) had a smirk on her face. Mr.Conner asked me a few questions, then it was Heather's turn. She finished it perfectly a faster time then me. She had a huge smile on her face when she finished. Mr.Conner gave her a good compliment. Then the others went. After Practice I was exhausted. My hair was stuck to my neck and I was sweating EVERYWHERE!! I took a look at Heather and she hairless from head to toe,I was jealous. I cooled Charm down and gave him to Mike.
