My smile turned into a small frown when Stephanie mentioned her horse. Silver. From Japan. "Tell me more about Rye!" Sammie said, excited. I smiled wider. "He's soooo good. Sometimes he's a little nippy, and he doesn't like being tacked up. Or sprayed with fly spray. He completely flipped out last time. But he's awesome!" I said, elaborating on Rye, telling stories about our latest and greatest (and not so greatest) rides. "We're jumping between 2 feet and 2 foot 6." I told them. I knew we weren't jumping as high as some of the other riders at this barn, but I was pretty happy with our accomplishments. "He's kind of old, and he kicks himself in the feet, so we can't jump much higher." I told them. I didn't want Stephanie thinking I was some kind of loser because we didn't jump high.

My eyes were wide that Kate's horse didn't jump high.I listened to what Kate said."If you need help,I could help you with show-jumping." I smiled. I ate the last of my pizza and wiped my hands clean with a napkin. I looked at everyone at the table. "Hey does anyone have a boyfriend?" I raised my eyebrows.

"If you need help, I could help you with show-jumping." Stephanie offered, her eyes wide. I sighed, slouching my shoulders and taking a bite of my brownie. I looked at Sammie, wondering if we were thinking the same thing. "Hey, does anyone have a boyfriend?" Stephanie said, quickly changing the subject. I licked my lips and took another bite of brownie, wondering how I should respond.

I looked at everyone waiting for an answer. I bit into an olive and swallowed it. I raised my hand. A waitress came hurrying over. "I want coca-cola pop." I ordered. The waitress went back to get my drink.
