My life at Canterwood Crest had proven to be nothing more than a silent walking through the motions. Other than Issac and the occasional fueled rant by Jill Compton, I hardly talked to anybody and they didn't really seem interested in talking with me either. Maybe they saw me for what I was, an outsider, and honestly, it's not like they were very far from the truth. But I mean, Issac was okay, and so was Jill in her bratty way, still, the only person I did feel normal around was my horse. But Flame was like California, the only stable thing here in this mess of privileged girls and boys. Sighing, he glanced back down at the book in his hand, "I should probably study," I muttered to myself now, thinking outloud. With that, grabbing my stuff, I headed into a corner of the library and sat down along wall bench and nestled down into it, dropping my stuff on the floor figuring that nobody would come this far back to trip over it. Pulling another book and my notebook out of my back pack, I sat it down next to me as I crossed my legs, starting to glance over stuff I needed for this book report. For some reason, I always forgot that I hated research papers until there was a demand for having good references. CASSIE CAVANAUGH Back to the library again it seemed. Cassie was beginning to realize that her studies here were a little more crazier than she thought they would be but she supposed that's how it worked when one switched over from homeschooling to well, an actual school. There was no concentrating on one subject alone, she had six or seven. A sigh left her, all of this time spent at the library was time that she could be spending with Starlight or Amy, or even just trying to make more friends which she had been less than successful on doing. Canterwood Crest was turning into something far more complicated than she had ever imagined and now, she was almost wishing that she had just stayed with her dad state hopping rather than doing this. Although, then she would have never gotten Starlight, and even with his jumping quirks, he was still a good horse.
Walking along the bookshelves of the science section, Cassie knew that she should be concentrating on biology, silly things like cells and stuff like that. But her gaze stopped on a book on horses, and her interest sparked. Pulling it out of the shelve now, she glanced over it and for once, decided that she needed a break from this studying, at least for ten minutes if that to look over this book. Holding it in her arm, she grabbed a few other books on the topic that she should be concentrating in and headed out. Being on the top floor meant it was quiet, and that not a lot of people where there, so it was rather startling when she tripped right over somebody's stuff. The books went flying and scattered with a loud thump hitting the ground, and Cassie made an even bigger sound.
"Well, this is embarrassing," she muttered to herself, glancing back at what she had tripped over. A backpack, and then she glanced up to see a guy studying, or attempting to at least. Guess she just disturbed that. Deciding that she didn't want to do any more damage, she just scrambled forward to start collecting her books up from the ground.

It appeared that I was not the only one on the top floor of the library. Glancing up, I glanced over towards the bookshelves. While whoever wa there was on the other side and blocked from my view, that didn't mean that I couldn't hear them. A slight sigh escaped me now, so much for being able to concentrate on studying. But I knew I shouldn't just give up, after all, this was a library, people did need to grab books from this section. Looking back down, I started skimming quickly over the historical text that covered over hte great depression. History wasn't too bad, espeacially when you could tie in the one amzing thing about the great depression to a think I actually liked: Horses. Somebody was walking by, and I didn't pay them any attention until I heard them trip right over my stuff. I nearly cringed as I glanced up from my book and saw a girl on the ground, her books had slid all over the place, "Crap..." I muttered, tossing my book aside and getting up and walked over to her and her books, crouching down besides her and helped the girl gather her stuff, "Hey, sorry about that..." I managed now, trailing off as I glanced up to meet her gaze, "Uh...I'm Regan. New here, sorta." CASSIE CAVANAUGH Cassie heard the boy mutter under his breath and she felt her cheeks flush a little. This was utter embarrassment. There was no other way to look at it. But she couldn't be entirely at fault here, he was the one who left his stuff out on the middle of the floor. She worked quickly, trying to gather all of her stuff for biology, not to mention that horse book before he could do or say anything. However, that did not work out for Cassie as she felt a shadow above her before and somebody was right next to her, helping her with her books. It took everything in her power to not let out a sigh and she still hoped that she could end this nightmare sooner rather than later.
When he said sorry, she glanced up now and their eyes met, "Oh, um, that's okay. It's my fault really, I should have been watching where I was going." After all, there were actually people at school, it's not like she was the only person here. Cassie offered a smile when he introduced himself, even though she was still ready to disappear after face planting into the ground, "Cassie Cavanaugh," she said now, introducing herself, "And don't worry, I'm kinda sorta still new as well," she said now, reaching for the rest of her stuff, "Sorry for interrupting your studying."

The girl looked ready to die on the spot for tripping, although I didn't know why. After all, I was the one who left my stuff on the ground like an idiot. Well, not entirely, I honestly thought I was the only one in the world who would house themselves on the last level of the library. She was gathering her stuff as quickly as she could, and I just helped at my own leasuirely pace, making sure to not accidently bump her or anything. At her apology, I only shrugged now as I glanced at her, "I guess we're both at fault then," I commented now, hoping that would ease the blow of her embaressment. Soon she introduced her as Cassie Cavanaugh, easy enough to remember with the whole C squared thing. A smiled a little now, "Still kind of sorta new?" I asked her now before shaking my head, "You weren't interrupting anything, I barely had gotten started." and it's not like i wanted to work on it anyways. My eyes lingered on a book that she had picked up now: horses, "Uh...you ride?" (WORDS) 229 (TAGGED) Cassie (MUSE) call me maybe (NOTES) Haha, I just realized you posted at 11:11, his wish came true!
