And stopping dead when on your way to see your horse at THIS school, meant something big. I slowly turned hoping, no PRAYING it would still be there. And it was. Right there on Mr. Connor's bulletin board. CCA Halloween Training Show. My breath caught in my throat, causing a coughing fit. I whipped out my phone, texting every rider I knew.

She put down the towel and grabbed the iPhone off of her bed, tightening her brand new, fluffy, soft, pale pink NYC bathrobe around her tiny waist. It was from Kayla. Sammie smiled, opening the message. A SHOW??? Sammie gasped, hopping up and down like an idiot. She loved showing Midnight, her beautiful black Thoroughbred gelding. He was great at jumping, and dressage.
Sammie had gotten Midnight as a birthday present when she was 6, and she had been riding competitively and for pleasure ever since. She loved it and she knew she was amazing at it. So Sammie got dressed, looking absolutely gorgeous in brand new floral breeches from Barney’s and a black crop top with a bright red heart in the middle. She combed and dried her hair to fluffy, soft perfection and applied her makeup flawlessly. She grabbed her brand new, shiny, tall paddock boots and her AE tote, and rushed out of her dorm, quick as a whip.
When Sammie got to the stable, she saw Kayla right away and smiled. She walked over to her. “Hey!” She said.
