Let's Begin (Open!)

I lead Snow White or Snowy as I liked to call her she is my stunning white Andalusian mare. I smiled at her as I checked over her tack starting with her bridle I sighed as I saw her nose band has slipped out its hole. I shook my head at Snow as I redid it and made sure the extra band was tucked away. I walked to Snowy's side and straightened her bright sky blue saddle pad I then checked her girth and checked to make sure her saddle pad was secured into place. I checked her other side then I headed back over to her left as I swung myself into the saddle.

I put my feet into the stirrups and glanced at the tall sleek black boots and leaned down to fix the edge of one of my boots before I picked up my reins and made sure I had them as short as I should have them before I asked Snowy to walk forward and nice working pace instantly. I wanted her to be paying attention to me right from the start. I smiled as I felt her easy flowing movements below me as I as I asked her to walk forward as she tried to slow down going around the first corner.

I waited until we'd done two laps around the ring before I asked Snowy to go forward into a nice collected working trot. I smiled as I saw that her head was high and ears were bright with interest as we trotted around the ring I figured today since it was our first time in this ring we'd just go nice and easy and just work on our walking, trotting and cantering and maybe some basic dressage moves. I looked at the deep impressions that Snowy's hooves had made in the soft cream colored as we circled around the ring.

I lead a tacked up Beauty into the outdoor arena and noticed someone else was in there . I opened the gate and walked in , I stopped in the middle and mounted Beauty flawlessly . " Hello ! " I said cheerfully keeping my eyes up as a guided Beauty along the outside of the arena . Today I was going to work on flying lead changes , For my warm - up I trotted Beauty in circules that got smaller and smaller , then bigger and bigger .

OOC: Sorry but My computer is currently being fixed so I won't get back for a week or two sorry! I post as soon as I can when I get it back though i'm in school right now so I can't post a huge post

I looked over as a girl entered with her horse I kept Snowy moving and gave her sides a quick yet forceful squeeze as she tried to slow down. I turned her away from the girl and her horse as Snowy started to try and head in their direction. I trotted snowy forwards and I quickly made her do a 'Turn on the haunches" maneuver as I saw that we were getting too close to the other rider.

I tuned out the other horse and rider as I asked Snowy to Canter I needed to be completely focused on her and my surroundings if I didn't want to fall off. I lead Snowy around the ring in long graceful strides her Andalusian breeding started show as her gait changed from slightly uneven to long and flowingly smooth and graceful. I smiled as I felt the warmth of the sun's rays warm my sides as I past by the various windows in the arena.

Snowy's head was high and her eyes were bright and shining her ears were pricked and pointed forwards. Her left ear flicked backwards as I asked her to slow down in Chinese I smiled and patted her shoulder my fingers brushed her long flowing white mane as patted her powerful shoulder. i lay across her neck and shoulders and let my body feel her shoulder muscles moving as she trotted around the ring.

I slowed her to walk and for the first time in a while I looked around to see the other rider. I gave them a small nervous smile and a tiny wave before I settled my body down to the rhythm of Snowy's walking as she cooled down. I knew we hadn't done that much today but it was good enough A goo horseman knew when to go fast and when to tone it down a notch.

I did a working trot to warm up Beauty. I them moved into a nice smooth canter for two laps. I slowed down to a walk as the other guy in the arena gave me a small wave. " Hi, again." I said to the guy smiling. I patted Beauty's neck for. Reward after out warm up.
