I walked down towards the stables from my dorm room it was 5:00 in the morning and I was hoping to get some alone time with my beautiful mare Snow White. I was carefully not to make a sound as I walked carefully on the reddish orange cobbled floors of the stables as I headed towards Snowy's stall I carefully grabbed her sky blue lead line and pale baby blue halter as I slipped as quietly as I could into her stall. I lead her out and tied her to the the cross ties then I went and grabbed my tack box.
I started off by picking out her hooves with a hoof pick I was glad i'd gotten a hoof pick with a brush and one without a brush so I brush hooves out or not if it wasn't needed. I finished doing her last hoof and I put the two hoof picks back and while doing so I grabbed my curry comb and with that I started to comb his fur with wide rhythmic circles all the way around his body. Once I was done I grabbed a hard brush and did short little flicks the get the loosed dirt and hair mostly off and to loosen more dirt and hair.
I then got a soft brush and did long strokes all over her body except for her face which I carefully groomed with a face brush. I then spent the rest of my time combing out her mane and tail so they were their usually stunningly beautifully wavy and flowing I sprayed a lot of mane n' Tail Shiner on her mane and tail before I started to braid them. I looked over as someone walked by with their horse breaking the silence that had fallen around the barn.

As I walked down the aisle of Canterwood's barn I smiled inwardly. I could hardly believe how much these hicks had raved about the facilites, but they were no better than Smokey Pines, or any of the other places I'd competed, in my opinion.
I was immaculately dressed in chocolate-colored breeches, a soft cream cashmere sweater, carmel-colored gilet and tall, soft brown leather boots. My short pixie cut looked cute and fluffy, and my makeup was minimal - unlike some of the clowns I'd seen strutting around campus. Did they ever look in the mirror? Seriously...
I flicked the latch and went into Jazz's stall, grabbing her leather headcollar and leadrope as I went.
"Good morning, darling!" I rubbed her between the eyes. "Ready for a good groom?" I led her to a pair of cross ties, only to see an unfamiliar boy grooming across the aisle.
"Early bird?" I asked, with a friendly smile.

I looked up to see yet another unfamiliar face looking at me. I smiled shyly at the girl and said, "Hi, and yea i've been up since five thirty" I looked at my red G-Shock and I raised my eyebrow at watch because it read six o' clock I would have thought it would have been later. I glanced down at my dark cream colored breeches that were spotless and were obviously brand new but they were no where as expensive or fancy as the girls.
My dark blue show shirt was relatively expensive but still it contrasted a lot with cream colored breeches as did my tall black paddock boots. Snowy snorted and flattened her ears at the other mare. I said, "Oh uh...Snow White here doesn't like other mares so it might not be a good idea to put your horse next to Snow White she tends to bite a lot" I patted Snowy's rump as I let her tail go as I walked towards her side so I could do her mane up in the same complicated traditional chinese braid.
I carefully grabbed three little bright sky blue elastics as I tied up the first part of her braid. I moved up along her mane as I headed for her forelock I did her forelock in the same complicated pattern as her mane and tail. I kissed Snowy on the nose and smiled at her before whispering, "Nǐ hǎo piàoliang de nǚhái (Hello there pretty girl)" I smiled at her as she snorted and shook her head looked around at me.

Hearing the boy's warning I quickly moved Jazzy into the next set of cross ties - I didn't want to wind the other mare up.
"I'm Zara. I just transferred from Rosewood, and this is my horse, Jazz. Do you compete on the A circuit? We might have met before..."
I picked up my polished wooden body brush and began to run it through Jazz's bright bay coat.

OOC: Urgh I'm too lazy to write a really long post i'l just write two paragraphs
IC: I held Snowy's head still as she turned to look at the other mare I said, "No, No, Pretty girly you're not giving them the evil eye" I patted Snowy's soft and velvety nose as I said, "I'm Ken-You Li and as you've probably guessed this is Snow White but I prefer to call her Snowy for short we've traveled all the way from my native China to come live here and Yes i've ridden in the A-Circuit before but you won't have met me because i've ever done the A-Circuit in China"
I blew a soft raspberry at Snowy who snorted and leaned forward to huff softly in my face I laughed at her my warm laugh echoing along the quiet halls of the stables. I smiled sadly as I thought about my native home of China it had been so beautiful there here there were too many cars and metal buildings. The natural beauty of this place had been destroyed by man and his increasing grasp on the world. I ran my hand through my semi messy thick black hair as I thought to myself.

"Wow, you've come such a long way!" His horse was adorable! But noone could compete with Jazz... I carried on brushing her, soon her coat was gleaming, thanks to rigorous daily groomings. I picked out her hooves, running my manicured thumb over the silver horseshoes to check them. All good. Then I swept my mane comb through her jet black mane and deftly twisted it into an elegant running plait. Brushing imaginary flecks of dirt off my sweater and breeches I lay a sable coloured ANKY pad on Jazz's back, then carefully placed my dark mahogany Stubben dressage saddle on top. I gently tightened her girth and fastened it. I did up her matching bandages, then put on her dark brown bridle. Her soft forelock fell endearingly over the glittering diamond brownband.
"Are you riding now?" I asked Ken-You.

I finished the braid on Snowy'a forelock and carefully put on my my pale sky blue homemade saddle pad my grandmother had spent eleven months making carefully on Snowy's back then I grabbed her brand new golden brown saddle that i'd spent FOREVER saving up for on her back then I put her her girth on I was careful to make sure the Saddle pad was attached to the saddle securely so the saddle pad wouldn't move as I rode.
I also did up her coup (Is that how it's spelt?) then put on her on her bridle after removing her bright shy blue halter. I put on her ear guards show we could do Dressage in peace even with another horse in the ring I then carefully adjusted her blinkers (Is that what the eye cover things are called lol I don't know my tack very well) I finished the last few finishing touches on her tack before I stepped back to admire her and her stunning looks.
I smiled at her then looked at the girl and said, "Yeah I am i'm hoping to get some more Dressage Practice in your welcome to join me i've put on her Blinkers and ear guards so as long as you don't get too close to us your ok to ride in the ring She's fine once she has the ear guards on but i'll put the Blinkers on just in case" I was nervous about offering this new person to ride with me I hoped that if she said yes that Snowy would be good and she wouldn't act up because there was another mare in the ring with her.
