I strolled through the autumn leaves down to the stables, my knitted red scarf wound round my neck to protect me from the biting cold.

I walked into the barn, which was streaked with the warm afternoon sunlight. Dust motes floated lazily on the golden air, and the soft wicker and rustle of horses filled my ears. The sweet smell of hay and horse comforted me. After my weird experience at the pool I was looking to get away.

I approached Flight's stall and stroked her gently down her broad white blaze. I heard a thump from across the aisle and looked over to see Snowy, Ken-Yu's horse making faces at us.

"It's okay, Snowy! Flight's no threat to you, little Alpha Mare!" I loved her name, 'Snow White', and she was beautiful as well.
But, I thought, turning back to my own beautiful bay who was snuffling at my shoulder. A sudden wave of sorrow at my situation made we want to bury my face in her shimmering black mane. I didn't fit in here. I just didn't. I wasn't one of these Queen Bees and I didn't like the way they behaved around guys.
A tear leaked down my pale cheek. I twined a strand of Flight's mane around my pinkie.

"Together, we'll make it through."

I looked up sharply as a blast of frozen air and footsteps signalled someone's approach.

I hobbled into the stables i'd taken a nasty fall from Snowy earlier in the day i'd ruined my riding clothes my tack and i'd broken wrist and sprain my ankle so I was banned from riding for a month. I was hoping to check on snowy before I made my way to my dorm so I could grab some Advil and get some homework done before taking a nap. I noticed someone and their horse were standing by Snowy's stall I figured i'd just slip past them so I could see Snowy.

I smiled as I saw Snowy's stunning white face poke out of her stall door she let out a shrill whinny of greeting to me I sped up as much I could while hobbling on one leg. I smiled at the girl and horse standing near Snowy's stall I kissed snowy's nose and said, "Ni hao Peng You (Hello Friend)" Snowy nickered softly and huffed in my face. i'd been so relieved to find out that Snowy had made out of our fall with a scratch on her she only needed a good hosing down and grooming. I smiled as I saw someone had put her bright sky blue stall blanket on her so wouldn't get cold while was all wet.

I walked into the stables and headed towards Spirit`s stall. I noticed a two people near her stall. "Hi, guys." I said. One of the guys I had saw befor and the other girl I had never seen befor, she must be new. I wore my red button-up blouse with my only white jacket to keep warm, and plus the shirt nicely complimented my golden tan. I tried really hard not to get a speck of dirt or hay on my black breeches. It was probably not the best idea to wear these fancy clothes in the barn but I didn`t want to make my aunt feel bad because she had bought the outfit for me for riding and it was quite expensive. And thats why they invented laundry machines.
