I stepped out of my parents black SUV and walked around to the horse trailer. I opened the side door and Rain's bay muzzle greeted me. "Hey boy. We're here!"' I said to him. I clipped on his lead rope and waited for my dad to open the back. Out of the little door I saw students walking around the campus in little groups. I didn't plan on making a lot of friends, I wanted to try and stay focused on riding. After all I was here on a riding scholarship. Light flooded in the trailer as my dad opened the back. Rain let out a high pitched whinny, probably listening for mares. I gave the lead rope a little shack to get his attention back on me. I pulled back on the lead. Causing him to back out of the trailer.
The cold air tugged at my small jacket. I was glad I had my gloves on. Rain started to dance on the spot wanting to move around. He jumped and kicked his back legs, showing his naughty stallion side. I pulled down firmly on his lead. My dad handed me a chain lead and I attached it to Rain's halter. I lead the exited stallion to the barn, anxious to see what it would be like.
I entered the magnificent stables. Rows of box stalls lined the aisles. I grinned, walking a little faster. I neared one of the large stalls that said "Rain" on a little gold plaque. I smiled even wider. This was a much bigger and fancier stables then the one back home. I opened the wooden door and lead Rain in. He quickly spotted the hay and pulled his head over to try and get some. I unclipped his lead and let him explore his new home. I let myself out of the stall. As I was closing the stall door a guy bumped right into me. I knew it was him because I wasn't even moving. I turned to see who it was, I had a slightly annoyed look on my face but I tried not to.

Most people usually loved the day when all the new people came. It meant new people to cause drama with, and gave the campus newexcitement. And those were the reasons why Chase hated it. All these new people had no idea where anything was and they were all so naive which just causes drama. And some of those cat fights got pretty nasty. Chase had been in a bad mood when he woke up but now as he was stadning in the stable, his mood just kept going downhill. Chase took 25 minutes just to get from his room to the stable. He had to push through several families and he even pushed a few down. Not that he cared or anything.
Now Chase stood in Red's stall trying to brush away his anger. It wasn't really working. All that came out of it was that he seemed to have brushed a hole into Red's coat. Chase stepped away and put down the brush before he damaged any more.Chase heard someone walk by with their horse, probably a newcomer. Chase frowned. He let himself out of the stall to grab Red's tack. Chase quickly saddled and bridled him before leading Red out of the stall. Chase bent downto grab his helmet and crop before walking out into the middle of the aisle. There was no one in the aisle and Chase sighed. Finally everyone had settled in. Chase hoped that no one would be riding, at least not any new people. They were proably giving their horses a rest from the trailor ride. But not Chase and Red. They had training to do and Red was a pro athlete. He could rest when he was sleeping. Chase was coming up to an open stall door. A girl emerged from the stall not looking when she came out.
That was her first mistake. Chase had obviously been coming, you could hear the footsteps of Red's hooves. To prove his point, this girl had no idea what it was like in a barn setting like this, you cannot just walk out of a stall without looking or hearing for horses coming. Now what Chase did next was probably not the best thing to do but it was her fault, she was in the way and Chase did have the right away so he ran right into her. She looked up at Chase with a look that suggested she was annoyed that Chase had run into her. Chase smirked.Watch where you're going newcomer. Here you can't just come out of a stall without looking to see if anyone is coming first. Now that's basic barn 101 even a green rider should know. oh, and you should wipe that look off your face, it doesn't look good. Chase laughed before walking forward with Red. They continued down the aisle towards the indoor arena.

I threw a wish in the well, don`t ask me I`ll never tell I just stood there listening to the guy who had just told me off. Well I`m sorry for upsetting you. I said flatly. Canterwood so far was full of stuck up snobs like this guy. Who did he think I was? Some inexperienced rider from off the street? No. I was the heighest ranked rider in my division back home. I was the star rider at my old barn. I knew my basic rider 101.
I knew all this started just because I bumped into some guy. But by now I had blown this all out of proportions. My true drama queen side was really showing now. I quickly texted my mom saying that I was going for a quick ride with Rain. I opened my tack trunk and toke out my saddle (which I had temporaroly packed in the trunk.), and also toke out my bridle out. I chose my pink saddle pad and smoothed in on Rain`s back. I flung the saddle gently on his back and tightened the girth. I patted Rein`s shoulder and removed his leather halter. I slipped on his bridle. Luckily I already had my breeches and riding boots on. I reached for my helmet and lead Rein out of his stall. I changed my mind as i neared the ring, I actually wanted to go for a real ride somewhere. Maybe a outdoor ring, or in the indoor arena if it wasn`t occupied. My thoughts where cut off as I heard someone`s voice. Hey you can come and ride in here. They said. Finally a nice person. I looked up with a smile to see who it was. Sorry really bad post!
