16 † SAM LEGER † MEAN† RESERVED
History/Personality: Originally from New York City, USA, Sammie Leger was born a happy kid with two loving parents, living in a gigantic mansion getting everything she wanted along with her two brothers, Derrick and Jacob. She was always kind and sweet and accepted gifts with obvious gratitude. Her parents taught her the values of life at a young age and only later on, in her pre-teens, did Sammie really get introduced to the world of mean girls, gossips, etc. She never really wanted to be a part of all of that until she reached middle school and found a clique of friends that loved her bubbly, loud, confident and sometimes sassy personality. She went through middle school as the most popular one, always looked up to, always source of jealousy. It seemed like the perfect lifestyle. Eventually, she finished grade eight and started to focus more on her riding that summer. She had owned Midnight since he was a colt, and her and her Mother had trained him to jump like a pro. That summer, Sammie did some showing and practiced every day. Eventually, her Mother found out about Canterwood Crest Academy and decided to use a portion of their never ending money flow for Sammie to take Midnight there. Of course, she got accepted- practice makes perfect, and Sammie had been practicing all summer. Her grades in middle school had been average so she'd been a pretty good contestant for the school. Anyway, it sort of went the same for her first few years at Canterwood. She became a part of what people saw as the 'cool' girls, and in her eyes, she was like an in-school celebrity. Secretly, though, Sammie was starting to feel used, lonely and rather pathetic. She had her very best friend, Violet as her only way to keep her anchored. A few weeks before she left Canterwood, her Father died fighting in Afghanistan. Bending her to an unnaturally curved level, to a place where she was so close to breaking, she went home. She'd developed a mild case of Anorexia and that contributed to her going back to NYC for treatment.
The next semester, Sammie went back to Canterwood. She went back to where she'd been before with some minor fences to break through. Eventually, it was all back to normal. She helped Violet with her problems back at home, was bff's with Rosie Bryant and Heather Fox, and sorta made time for everything at once. A recipe for a breakdown. She'd found out that Rose had deceived her and developed a strong disliking for the redheaded girl. Her Mom lost a great amount of money that month and Sammie had to go home, barely avoiding selling Midnight. While she was at home, Sammie sorta learned the ways of the dark side. Falling into deep depression, she'd began smoking and partying with the wrong people, ending up with black hair and two tattoos, along with being thirty four pounds lighter. Her lowest weight was 70 pounds at 5'9, and that was just about her breaking point. She gained some weight and managed to stay at 79, and that was when she went back to Canterwood to finish grade 11.
Anyway, her personality has changed so much over the years. She went from bubbly, perky and mean to edgy, reserved, lonely and (still) mean. She only really stuck with one friend, Violet, who had stuck with her all along.
