I twirled gracefully, a smile on my face. I danced into the bathroom of my massive dorm and grabbed my bright pink hairbrush, pulling it through my thick, beautiful blonde locks. I grabbed my expensive waterproof mascara and smoothed some onto my long, dark lashes before adding a touch of raspberry gloss and a dusting of pale pink blush. I pulled on my sheer, see-through bikini coverup, pale pink with the words "Pretty Love" scrawled in white cursive across the chest. Then, I grabbed my Sweet Sweet Paris tribal print beach bag, which held body spray, hair stuff, a towel and my iPhone plus a pair of designer flip-flops and headed out the door. I pulled out the phone and opened Heather and I's conversation. I typed a message fluently. "H, meet at pool in ten? xoxo, S." I turned my text ringtone volume up and stuffed the phone back into my bag, strutting through the lobby and towards the indoor pool. |

I had just finished my homework when my iPhone buzzed. Sammie's name popped up and i unlocked my phone, opening my messages. Sammie wanted to meet at teh pool. def b there in 10 i stepped into my massive bedroom and into my walk in closet. I selected a super hot bikini that showed a perfect amount of skin and showed off my major curves. the bright blue matched my eyes, and made them look even bluer. after twirling in the mirror, i slid a beach shirt on over, which barely skimmed my thighs. stepping into my bathroom, i applied super expensive waterproof mascara and smeared shimmery pink gloss over my lips. after sliding my french mani toes into flip flops, i ran a brush through my gorgeous blonde hair, and slid my Gucci sunglasses over my eyes. I tossed my iPhone, suntan oil, towe, wallet, and some other stuff into my beach bag and stepped out the door.
as i strutted through campus, all eyes were on me. i basked in the normal attention, and waved to some hot guys that whistled at me. i breezed through the lobby doors and into the indoor pool. i strutted over to where sammie was seated, looking hot as usual. smirking, i spoke. "hey girlie" i smiled and pulled off my shirt, reaviling my hot bod and sexy bikini. i leaned back into the chair next to sammie and glanced over. "so whats up?"

"you look so skinny, get some meat on those bones." i said calmly, my voice amused. i smoothed my golden hair and pulled my sunglasses back up. |

i glanced down, notcing some sharp corners. maybe the whole running thing and eating salads was going too far. shrugging, i sat down, smiling at the same groups of jocks that sammie had just winked at. "so, are you looking for a bf now?" leaning back, i took in the sounds of the pool and the pale light coming from the sun roof.

"Of course not. Don't you know that all the fun is in the chase?" i said collectedly, my tone mocking. just then, a group of grade seven girls scampered in, smiling brightly at heather and i, waving like annoying wanna-be's and rushing over to talk to us. i barely looked up, propping my sunglasses a bit lower to look up meanly with my icy blue eyes. 'oh, my god! hey, sammie!' a little brunette said with a bunch of her nervous friends flanking her. 'you guys look so awesome! where'd you get that bikini?' the same girl asked sammie. sammie grinned meanly, deciding to have a little fun. she knew heather didn't like it when she was really mean, but sammie enjoyed seeing people squirm. she sat up slowly. 'cute. but you so don't have the body. you should really try justice, the stuff there would fit your skinny butt.' i said fake-sweetly. i glanced at her 'following'. 'don't you guys have a boyfriend to annoy? oh wait, i highly doubt that.' i snapped, putting my sunglasses back so they covered my eyes as the girls laughed sadly and spun to hurry away and observe from a distance. the boys were full-out laughing at the sevies as they rushed away. i smirked. |

i smiled at sammie's answer, knowing thaat, unfortunatley, she was right. just then, a group of sevies ran into the pool area and up to us. you look great, where's that bikini from, hey! they rambled on with their compliments until sammie glared at them. normally, i would have just ignored the little sevies, but i had changed. my bestie was back, and i was still holding the throne. smirking up at the girls through my icy blue eyes, i glared. "honestly, justice wouldn't even work for them. try, like, the childrens place. their clothes are for girls with no figure. and no boys would be moronic enoguh to date one of these. i raised my eyebrows and glared, smirking as their sparlke died and then skimpered away with their tails between their legs. smiling, i turned to sammie. "that was fun. we need more sevis to come by."

i smiled and glanced at sammie. "oh sweetie, i know. i just have fun showign the wanna be's who's boss." i leaned back and stared through the windows letting in the sun above me. sighing, i though of how wonderful it would be if i could stay like this forever. young, free, beautiful. sitting next to my best friend. just then, sammie spoke, and it was as if she had read my mind. i glanced at her when she said she'd like to die young and beautiful. not right away, though. "exactly my thoughts. its so tempting, so calming to think that people would never see me old and dead. young and dead, i would always be remembered as the beautiful and perfect. not sickly or old. young, glowign, healthy..." i trailed off, knowing sammie felt the same way.

smiling, i spoke, my voice dreamy and lost in thought. "like ali in pretty little liars. never quite figuring everything out. and when you think you have everything solved, something new comes up. immortality." i layed still and quiet, knowing that it would be the best way to go. young and beautiful. sighing, i voiced another thought. "i would just have one reason not to die young. missing all of life's opportunites. getting married, watching my children grow and graduate. seeing myself grow even more beautiful. would you miss all of that?" i glanced at sammie, watching her process all that. "maybe, like, die youngish. like, at 30 or something. young enough to be beautiful, old enough to have expirenced life to the fullest. to have fufilled yolo." I placed a hand on my bare, toned, and thin stomach, relaxing even more.

i rolled over onto my stomache and turned my head to look at sammie. pulling off my sunglasses, i thoguht about what she said. "that's true.. and life can't get better than this." i closed my eyes and thought about our conversation. i opened my eyes wide at sammie. "when things get overwhelming, or too much, we should just pack up our bags, alter our names, and go live on some tropical island with hot guys in the middle of the ocean. just dissappear. no one will know. they'd never find us." smiling, i thought about how insane that sounded. it would be perfect.

i lughed softly along with her, then smiled at the name she came up with. "i'd be avery. avery brooke hurst." i thought about her question, knowing the answer was yes. softly, i spoke. "yeah, i do. i wish i could start over. not have to perfect everyday for everyone. just be able to wear sweats and a cheap t shirt and not be judged. i would give trade this life so fast. but only if i still had the opption to come back and look at what had become of everything." i sighed and laughed softly, knowing that this fantasy was way out there, but acheivable.

Just Heather and I, basking in the glory, alone with the bright blue water and the tall, marble walls. everything we'd said was so out of reach, so unattainable, that it only made me more and more excited. A new me- a whole new me, with dark brown hair and a bright red coat, mysterious and wispy. maybe one day it would happen. i was good at getting myself into trouble, and eventually i knew i'd get was was coming to me. and if nobody had the guts, maybe i would just disappear. i'd come back every once in a while, a ghost of the glowing girl i used to be, alluring and beautiful, with a sort of mystery in my voice and secrets around every corner, leaving people hanging and then disappearing into thin air, their wide-eyed gaze following me. and the fact was, i knew i would die young. it was like a little girl wanting to be a princess when she's older- but that wasn't me. i wanted to die young and beautiful, my skin smooth and dark and perfect, my eyes piercing and blue, my lips fiery red and my whole body perfectly still, too perfect to be real, impossibly flawless. and people would go into a frenzy, dancing around me like puppets, puppets that i created, catering to every hint and clue that they put together from the conversations we'd had when i'd been here. i'd be like a ghost that wouldn't stop haunting everybody here at canterwood until the mystery was put to rest. but tiny puzzle pieces that just don't fit quite right would keep popping up, and i'd be the only one not having nightmares in my slumber. i came back to reality, grinning, my eyes closed, like sleeping beauty. i turned to heather. 'it'll all work out in the end. it always does, for girls like us.' i said, tilting my head and squeezing her hand.
