'heather, sweetie, it's gonna be okay.' i said, my voice like a drug, soft and sweet and melodic. 'it's gonna be okay.' i repeated, this time in a whisper. then, i grinned mischievously. 'i'll come back and visit you.' i paused to look at her. 'you deserve a decent sister.' i said, laughing sadly. |

i bit my lip, but then smiled. sammie was like a sister.. "kay, but it would have to be in some secluded place, huh?" my voice was baarely a whisper, as no one else needed to over hear ths conversation. "oh, btw, what did you mean by the 'too many secrets' stuff from before?"

'you're so pretty, h. you're gonna do so well.' i said softly, smiling sweetly at her. 'don't do anything stupid.' i said quietly, almost to myself. 'i'll see you soon, sweetie.' i said, standing up, grabbing my bag and breezing out of the shop like a ghost. |

i smiled, my lips parted to thank her. i paused, trying to make out what the quiet words were. it was almost like sammie was talking to herself as well. i watched as my best friend stood, then without a backwards glance, walked out of the sweet shoppe. don't do anything stupid that was what sammie told me. as my heart dipped, i realized that stupid was all i had left.
