The little shop had always been one of my fave places on campus. I looked super hot, as usual, and i instantly drew all the eyes in the shop. I was the queen bee of canterwood, and i would keep it that way. I'd curled my golden hair into ringlets and then fluffed it out, and i'd used a liquid eyeliner to get a cat eye look with red lipstick that contrasted my tanned skin perfectly. I was wearing a brand new pale pink dress from a tiny boardwalk boutique in cali, and a pair of steve madden platform booties in black. in my hand was a tiny black and white striped clutch with a hot pink bow, and my nails were chalk white. i looked girly and gorgeous, and people were eager to tell me so. i bought a water bottle from the counter and cocked my hip, scanning the shop for someone to sit with. people waved me over but i glanced at the door as someone walked in. |

my stomache growled as i strolled across campus. a breeze picked up and i caught a wiff of teh slice. smiling, i headed toward canterwood's pizza parlor. a cold wing gust picked up my hair and tugged at my flowey tank that i got from a boutique over summer in san diego, paired with super hsort denim shorts, complemented by blue and white heeled sandals. my long blonde hair was in soft, bouncey curls that fell in ringlets down my back. stepping into the slice, i spotted sammie waiting in line. smiling, i strutted over to her. "hey boo." i smiled and nodded at her outfit. "feeling summer too?" our outfits were both sporting a summer/beachy look. both hot too.

'cute. long time no see, sweetie.' i said raising an eyebrow and grinning. i pulled her into a light hug. 'want to go sit?' i asked, tilting my head. 'oh wait, i'll go sit. you get yourself two big, fat pieces of pizza. you need to put some on.' sammie said simply, twirling on her heel and strutting down the shop to a free table. |

i smiled adn lightly wrapped my arms around sammie. i rolled my eyes at her order, but i knew i was a little on the underweight side. stepping up to teh counter, i ordered two cheese slices and a root beer. after paying, i made my way to sammie, who chose a small table in teh middle of the slice. i set my plate down and slid gracefully into the chair across from her. "so whats new? its been like, what, three days?" i smirked waiting.

'nothing. meet any guys lately?' she asked, raising an eyebrow and winking slyly. |

i watched sammie's gaze fall to my food, and she smiled aprovingly. i took a dainty bite and chewed slowly, thinking about derrick when she asked. "yeah, i did. derrick leger, reconize the name?" my voice sounded too much like sammie. wierd.

i didn't even flinch when sammie snapped at me. smirking, i raised my eyebrows. "honey, chill. i know he's your bro. i never said i was interested in him. all i said was i'd met him. you should be so quick to accuse sweetie." smirking, i leaned back and took another sip of my root beer, trying hard not to burst out laughing. "is there somthign bothering you? you can usually control yourself." i raised my eyebrows in mock conern, but deep down, i was worried. she took that way to seriuosly.

"yeah, it's never good to hold it in. anywho, have you found any worthy guys?" i smirked, waiting for the answer.suddenly, the thoughts of our past conversation at teh pool came flooding back to me. before i knew what i was doing, i blurted out the question that had been on my mind since that day. "did you seriously mean it when you said that you'd die young?" i opened my eyes wide and bit my tounge, waiting for her snarky and sweet comments.

my heart lurched when her sad eyes met mine. i instanly knew that she was completely serious. biting my lip, i felt my throat get tight as i struggled not to cry. i would not cry. i wouldn't. i gave her a sad smile and then remembered my past question. opening my pink lips to speak, i quickly shut them, realizing that the question was frivolous and moronic. instead, i thought about all of the things sammie and i had done together. from being b!tches to unwanted girls, to flirting with thousands of hot guys, i would miss all of these things.
