Reading alone....Maybe not (Open!)

I stood outside the library gaping like a goldfish at it. This was a HUGE library my old town in D.C had, had a tiny library about three times smaller then this library. I walked up the large stone steps and entered the building. Wa sei! (Wow!) So many books! I looked around trying to process everything around me at once. I stopped gawking when I realized I must look like a weirdo just standing here and gaping at everything. I looked at all the large tables with lamps and small comfy chairs I spotted a small corner near the front with a bunch of large comfy arm chairs arranged in a circle. I walked over and plopped myself into one of the seats. It was so big and comfy!

I looked around and spotted a book shelf that had the Warriors Series by Erin hunter on it I tried not to squeal like a little girl as I walked over and picked up the book i'd been waiting to read The Forgotten Warrior. I had feeling I was going to like this library I walked by the the chair only to find someone had sat in it I said, "Um? ràng yi ràng (Excuse me) that was my seat"

I walked into the library with a pile of books aka my homework. Ugh too much homework, I thought to myself. I found a table and sat down. "um? Ráng yi ráng that was my seat." a girl says. I quickly get up at stare at the girl I hadn't seen her before. "oh sorry I didnt know because you weren't sitting her I'll just go to a different seat." I looked around the room to find there were no other seats. Except at that table. "I guess I have to sit here but I'll sit at the other side so I don't bother you sound good?" I say to the girl.

I smiled awkwardly at the girl and said, "méiguānxi (It's OK) sorry I should have put my jacket there or something I spotted a book in the series i'm reading and had mini excitement attack and I don't mind I'm just reading I got here today my parents unpacked everything for me they refused to let me do it don't know why so all I had to do was get my horse settled in" I blushed as I realized i'd been blabbering on randomly. I brushed some of the hair of my face and I opened the book eager to start reading soon.

"I have a horse too. Her name is spirit. What's your horse's name?" I ask the girl I sat down and opened my books. I started with my science book, then she started to answer again.

I looked out the window before replying, "His name's Red he's a 7 year old red roan arabian gelding what about Spirit?" I watched her do her homework and I wondered how the teachers would react if I wrote in chinese by mistake. I brushed another strand of my silky black hair out of my face and my hand brushed over the small amethyst pendant that had been a farewell gift from my Mah-mah (Grandmother)

"she is a 10 year old palomino quarter horse." I say. I have had spirit for a long time and we had always bonded. I new everything about her like the back of my hand.

(Are you Hermione?)

I said, "Oh! I love palomino's their so pretty! what style do you ride? I ride English so I do jumping and Dressage but I like Dressage better jumping is a bit scary for me" I went back to reading the book I giggled as something funny happened to one of the characters. I wiped the grin of my face when I realized I must look pretty strange.

"I do both engilsh and western. Spirit and i are naturally better at wester but we've come to love english too. We are great at jumping, if you ever want help let me know." i went back to doing my homework as i waited for her to respond

I looked up and said, "You'd help me even if you barely know me?" I looked up at her surprised normally when people said they either stood me up or were mean to me when they helped me then they started rumors about me. I shook my head to clear it this was a new school with goals and new faces.

[Bella Marshall]

"yeah i love helping others out. We could meet at the stable sometime if you want." i say. I wondered why she was so suprised.

[courtney]

I smiled and sai, "Sure! and thanks!" I brushed some hair out of my face and tried to ignore the thoughts about the bullies in my old school and stay positive about this school. I still got a buzz when I realized I was here at Canterwood Crest! it was simply a qi miao (Wonderful) feeling!

" here's my number so you can text me when you want to meet up at the stable ." I say to her

I smiled and took her number and added it to my phone I added my number to hers and said, "Great. Here's mine so we can chat" I looked down and realized i'd closed the book and completely forgotten i'd been reading oh well I just just started reading from the beginning again. I'd probably re read the book a bunch of times any ways once the last box of my books was dropped off in two months my parents would pick up the rest of the books i this series for me when they got home.

I took the number and put it into my phone. "thanks I'll defiantly text you so we can get together or you can... Whatever you want" I say and smile as I got back to my work. A while later I had finished my science and math and I was finishing my reading/LA. I looked up at her and said "how are you managing?"

I went back to reading the book a got a few chapters in when Bella asked me how I settling in. I looked up and said, "Badly, I've had detention once already and I have it for the rest of the week because I was talking during detetion and this guy started being mean to me about how i'm chinese"
