You okay? Carmel asked when I had calmed Aristocrat down. I smiled. I liked having a friend who cared. Yea, I startled him. Hope he's okay now. My voice was shakey, but I didn't want to look scared infront of Carmel. Let's keep going.

"Yea, I startled him. Let's keep going." Heather still sounded kinda shaky but I didnt say any other comments. We continued the trail, silence all around us. Suddenly there was a scream and a loud "Crack like someone stepped on a very big stick. What was that? I whispered, fear creeping into my voice.

Suddenly Aristocrat spooked and took off galloping blindly up the trail. I almost fell off his back when I sprung into a jockeys crouch. Lucky for me this kept me on. Carmel!![/b] I screamed, causing Aristocrat to be more scared, and her stretched into a flying gallop. OMG, I'm gonna die! I thought panicking. Then I saw a huge Oak Tree in our path. I braced my self to go flying, or to jump it. I had no idea what was going to happen next.

"I don't know, isn't this what happened when..." Before she could finished, her horse spooked and started galloping down the trail. "Carmel!!" Heather screamed, stilling on his back. Heather! Hold on! Im coming! I had Memory go into a straight gallop, trying to catching up. Oh no I whispered to myself. A huge Oak Tree covered the trails. I half-wanted to cover my eyes of what was going to happen.

Heather! Hold on! Im coming! I faintly heard Carmel yell. I rose into a two point position, and even though Aristocrat was scared, he slowed down and jumped the log with feet to spare. I slwoed him down to a trot, and finally a stand still. I turned around and saw Carmel and Memory racing toward us. Careful! The jump is wide! I yelled at Carmel. I saw her slow Memory half a notch to control her and rise into a two point position. Once she made it over I jumped of Aristocrat and started freaking out. OMG OMG, what is out there? This happened when you and Brit were trail riding too, cause remember I found you? We've got to tell Mr. Conner to close the trails until what ever it is leaves. I whispered to Carmel.

Heather made it over the tree easily I let put a breath and followed her over. Once over, heather began to freak out. "OMG OMG, what is out there? This happened when you and Brit were trail riding too, cause remember I found you? We've got to tell Mr. Conner to close the trails until what ever it is leaves." I reached over, grabbed her Shoulders, and begun to gently shake her. Heather, you need to calm down. We'll head back to the stables and tell Mr. Conner. Everything is okay. I looked around then I dropped my voice to a whisper. The only problem is that I dont know where we are.

The only problem is that I dont know where we are. I started to smile, then I frowned. Where are we? No one but us ever went on this trail. Let me see if my phone has service. I pulled out my Black Berry and saw no bars. No service, OMG... okay lets jump the tree and follow the trail back. Well... hope it leads us back. I gave Carmel a hopeful smile and mounted Aristocrat.

" I gave Heather a tight nod and and began to lead through the trees. It was becoming night, fast. The others back at the stables were probably wondering where we were. Mr. Connor might send out a search soon. I said all to hopeful.

Should we ride back the way we came? Or should we call someone to tell Mr. Conner. Ohh. I can call Troy and ask him to tell Mr. Conner. He said he's practicing now. I looked at Carmel, waiting patiently from atop Aristocrat for an answer.

Carmel nodded, looking tense. I realized that it was getting dark, fast. I turned Aristocrat away from Carmel and the log and walked about 50 feet back. I called Carmel over. Alright, lets jump htis log, and slowly canter back the way we came. I said when Carmel came over, then I looked into her eyes. Complete. Fear.

T-that sounds... great! My cheerful voice sounded disgustingly fake. Its going to be alright... right? I couldn't stop the terror from leaking into my voice.

T-that sounds... great!Carmel stuttered. I looked at her, almost not wanting to talk. But I had to face it. I. Was. Scared. Its going to be alright... right? Carmel asked, obviously very scared. This time I responded. Ya, it'll be okay. We'll be fine. I'll jump first. Ready? I urged Aristocrat into a canter and rose into a jumping crouch. 5...4...3...2... and up! We cleared the log by feet and I waite for Carmel to jump. Carmel? You can go now! My voice cracked, I was scared all alone with out Carmel by my side.
